Ichiro has ninth consecutive 200-hit season - MLB Record!!!

M's are in the second gameof their double header with the Rangers right now. In game one Ichiro hit number 199 of the season. And in Game two he hit number 200 for the ninth consecutive year!!!

First player ever to do this 9 years in a row. Another Ichiro MLB record!!!

    I think he has every chance to get to the 3000 mark. He's just a tremendous hitter and showing no real signs of slowing down.

    Congratulations, Ichiro!!! Pete Rose is in your sights with 10 total 200 run season.

    I have to agree ........as long as he remains healthy and his speed doesn’t drop off too much in the next few years he should hit the 3,000 mark!

    At this rate, about another five seasons....I believe that he got #2000 earlier this season.

    Best since Ted Williams from what I have read about him and the old time footage.

    With his 1278 hits from Japan I think he is a much better hitter than Pete Rose.

    His lifetime average will be much higher than that of Rose.
