Sure it does... King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime. :D

I hope you get to see them... I'm still holding out hope they play a few shows in the U.S. but it's looking like the chances are pretty slim.

I saw them twice this year and they were as amazing as possible :!: , really 8-) , some of the guys aged badly (not Patton) but the energy is the same and they blew up the stages they played!!! I am sure you'll have a great time.

And about Angel Dust: it must be their biggest artistic record however The Real Thing and King For A Day...were also damn good! :ugeek:

  • It's a great album. One of THE great albums, actually. Does anybody know if they're going to have U.S. tour dates?

  • Still crossing my fingers for NA dates.
I could never decide between Angel Dust and King for a Day...they're both timeless imo.

You folks in Europe, or those who can make it to Europe, are lucky. I've listened to Angel Dust countless times and it sounds better and better each time. "Does emotional music have quite an effect on YOU?"
  • Well they are doing 3 shows in Mexico in November so maybe if the band is real cool, especially Patton, that they will play like 10 shows in the US & give us US fans an early X-mas present in December. :)

Word is that it's an issue with Promoters here in the US. It's not looking good but I'm still gonna cross my fingers.

saw them at a festival this year and it was pretty good show - i mean, as good as a festival show can be when you went to see PJ a few days before ;)

the setlist was quite nice mix, i think:
    01. Reunited 02. From Out Of Nowhere 03. Be Aggressive 04. Caffeine 05. Evidence 06. Surprise! You're Dead! 07. Last Cup Of Sorrow 08. Digging The Grave 09. Easy 10. Midlife Crisis 11. Epic 12. I Started A Joke 13. The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies 14. King For A Day 15. Ashes To Ashes 16. Just A Man | 17. Chariots Of Fire 18. Stripsearch 19. We Care A Lot

    be aggressive

  • First real rock concert I went to in my life was Faith No More, 1992! They sang nearly the entire album. I wore a PJ 'Jeremy' shirt that I spent many hours painting by hand. The crowd loved it! The small venue had a capacity of 1000, yet the mosh pit was too intense for me. I lost an earring and a watch. I had the handlers pull me out. The audience did not want to let me go, so they yanked at my ankles. One of my shoes came off. After the show, I saw my shoe among a dozen others that had been lost, and had an employee fetch it for me.

The band Helmet opened: I can still hear In the Meantime in my head. As a 19 year old, I owned a pair of dinosaur shorts similar to the little boy's shorts in the video.

The next spring, I was a street rat living around the Walk Of Fame. Every day, the Scientologists stood outside their headquarters hawking Dianetics books to passersby. "Would you like a free personality test?" they asked. I always said no. But one day, an acquaintance of mine decided to go in for the test. I went along. I was given a list of questions on a sheet of paper. I almost 'LOL-ed' (years before that term was popular) when I noticed that several of the questions were lines from the FNM song Land Of Sunshine. "Do you feel sometimes that age is against you?" was typed on the sheet. In my head, I completed the lyrics with, "Sing and Rejoice!"

I had never known that the band used Scientology to write the song. Now it cracks me up every time I hear it.
"May you live in interesting times."

  • King For A Day FTW!!!

Angel Dust would be second I suppose ;)

Saw them in June... Absolutely incredible. Cried for a few songs... I was a little overwhelmed
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Yeah I was thinking that too like they aren't offering them enough money. But Gould said they haven't ruled out US dates just yet. I just think Patton isn't really open minded to it.
