I should have clarified. There are quite a few fucks in this song. But the one I was talking about is barely audible.....well, it's pretty easy to hear after you hear it the first time.

I remember reading an interview w/ vedder(circa 2003), in wich he stated he was so excited with cameron´s drum recordings on this track. I think he even mentioned he listened to it on numerous ocassions in his car on a freeway at full volume. He was very proud at the time of this recording. But anyway, he mentioned that cameron´s earphones fell off and hit a cymbal stand and that you could hear this in the actual released recording. Maybe it´s this you mentioned. I never found out on what part, but now that you realized this, I will take a closer listen at this.

that must be it. Thanks!
I remember that article, I believe it was earlier in the song right when they go into that bass breakdown right around 2:10. Matt said he hit a cymbal and his headphones flew off, he couldn't hear anything but kept up with them by watching jeff's bassline.

you might be right that his headphones fell off at 2:10...and then he continued ....and after his last drum bit, he says 'fuck'....at 3:46 ...listen!
Man, I've just listened to the song about ten times and I cannot hear the swear word.
But the drumming, as usual, is incredible. I am puzzled by people who don't like Matt's drumming. The guy is supreme-o.

thanks for actually listening!
the 'fuck' is quiet....it's closer to 3:47...but it's before it turns to 3:47
if you're listening with headphones, it's definitely left side...middle.
i might have to get out the adobe audition and see if i can't amplify it
