Knowing that Pearl Jam and especially Eddie Vedder are true fans of the Beatles, I am hoping that Pearl Jam add more Beatles related to their Covers list...especially in Philly (OCT SHOWS).....

I've got a feeling - Lennon, beatles song
You've got to hide your love away - Lennon, beatles song
Gimme some truth - John Lennon

P.S bought ever Remaster the other day

Oh by the way THE BEATLES are the best band in Rock History...opinion

Yeah I ordered the Beatles Remasters the other day... not shipping for a couple weeks because of the back log. I tried to get the Mono but for some reason it didn't work(maybe sold out as I heard only 10k are made). I don't really care, I have them all on vinyl so I still have the Mono sound. I can't wait for it to get here.

    Absolutely, this song.
  • I agree, there should be more covers that are unique.

I would love to see.. I've got a feeling
They haven't done that in a very long time.

    I've Got A Feeling

Just want to point out that I've got a Feeling is McCartney, not Lennon. Carry on!
sorry both Lennon and Mcartney wrote song
It is actually a combination of two unfinished songs strung together: Paul McCartney's "I've Got a Feeling" and John Lennon's "Everybody Had a Hard Year" from the White Album sessions (where it was demoed as "Everyone Had a Hard Year"), with the main guitar riff coming from Lennon's unfinished "Watching Rainbows"

one of the best rock songs, ever!

my local record store owner told me there would be a different vinyl only remaster box set in the coming weeks. limited to 5000 world wide. something like $300-$400.

interesting. my local record store says sometime in the Spring. i hope it is Spring because i don't have $400 right now :?
  • I work in a indie record store.. and there is no word on a vinyl release for the Beatles Remasters. Let's hope they don't need to release the double boxsets on vinyl!! ;)

  • She's So Heavy, yes!

    Also: Yer Blues

And: The End from Abbey Road, where the drum solo leads into that great guitar exchange.
  • tcaporaletcaporale Posts: 1,577
They might be able to pull off "Yer Blues"...imagine it segueing directly into "1/2 Full" or something!
  • eddie did a "you know my name (look up the number)" (beatles song from anthology 2) on one of the 2003 bootlegs (i believe-i don't remember which one), as a tag at the end of daughter (or was it betterman?). :?
"DON'T HATE THE PLAYER, HATE THE GAME"
  • In examining the Beatles-PJ connection, let's not forget two PJ originals that implicity reference Beatles songs:

    1. All Those Yesterdays- In the chorus, when Ed sings "All those yesterdays...ays...ays...ays," it is a certain tip of the cap to McCartney singing Yesterday.

    2. Love Boat Captain- Ed croons "I know it's already been sung...can't be said enough. Love is all you need. All you need is love." Another obvious gesture.

With that said, I can't wait for A Day In The Life in Philly...A guy can dream can't he?

Tough call but I say Pearl Jam.

Here is my original post on the Beatles

    1. yes they are apples and oranges, you really can't compare
    2. Beatles were originals
    3. as much as I love Pearl jam, world wide there is NO COMPARISONS

BEATLES ARE THE BEST EVER! PERIOD....then The Stones & The Who...ask them, if you could...

    Thank You
