And my dad's painting company worked on a house on the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

I have been on local TV a couple of times. Once whilst protesting outside a nuclear power station, once while at a Royal Shakespear Theatre workshop, I was interviewed on that one, was wearing a lot of black to look arty and said some very cheesy things. Oh I was also (visually) on the Money Programme on BBC2, it was about the company I worked for, it panned from a 1/2 naked poster of a man with the caption 'A hard man is good to find' to me sitting at a computer - got phone calls about that one.

My mum was on national TV, on a talk show, being interviewed by Esther Rantzen about an infection my sister picked up on a beach from sitting on the sand, think it was Morecambe beach.

My brother and his wife were on a makeover programme on ITV, some army wives had make overs for their husbands returning from a tour of duty. Can't remember who the presenter was, but it was a big deal at the time.

Don't think my sisters been on anything.

It's OK, we're not all fame hungry, maybe it's just 'cos there's fewer people over here.

I got drilled in the back of the neck with a golf ball hit by Peter Jacobson at the BC Open (when it still existed) in Binghamton, NY. It was all over local tv.

Also played in some soccer games in Europe that were televised and lots of times locally for soccer games.

I was on a Spanish television show called "Cara a Cara" many moons ago and on our evening news several times. For some reason, the unicameral bone cyst in my right humerus was a big deal back then. :oops:

I was at the cricket Australia Vs South Africa a few years back, and me and my mates all wore sombreros. The day before which was new years day was in excess of 40 degrees celcius, and this particular day was quite cold. About a quarter of the way through the day my mates have said 'Normo(my nickname) your on the big screen' I looked up and there I was.

For some reason the cricket was getting recorded at home, and one of the commentators said 'Those guys had the right idea, yesterday was over 40 degrees bla bla bla' 10 seconds of fame

I was on Family Feud two times. We were crushed.

The first consolation prize was a year's supply of yeast.
The second consolation prize was a hair curling iron that was heated with a propane flame. (Looked too dangerous to use.)
Of course we also received a home version of the game.

At a recent family gathering we all agreed that we would do it again.

I was in my car at traffic lights as a news team were filming an article on traffic conjestion.I didn't know I was being filmed.I had the windows rolled down and was singing at the top of my voice.I then saw myself on the news report the following day.

My name was read out on Tiswas (70's early 80's uk kids remember that show ?? ) I had entered a competion to win a signed first cutting gatefold copy of Pink Floyd's The Wall.I had to name the original members of Pink Floyd.I won and Chris Tarrant read my name out on the tele.I also got a signed photo of the Tiswas team.

I was interviewed for the local morning news for standing in line overnight at Best Buy for the launch of the XBOX 360. It was cool I guess. Well, as cool as being picked to represent a group of geeks can be.

I'm not quite sure... at lollapalooza, I vanished for quite a while and when I returned I said that people were making me go on a gameshow... I never lie about stuff... however my memory is nonexistent during this time so I could well be out there draped in the Irish flag, completely hammered, on a game show :?

i've been on the local news in orlando a couple of times. i was interviewed my freshman year of college...something about how to remain safe at a fraternity party (of which i had never been to at that point).

the second time was for the tailgating set up my friends and i had for a ucf conference championship game. we were one of the first people at the stadium...at 5:30 in the morning. the reporter was going over what we had to drink, eat, why we were out fo early...and then pointed out that we had a ton of alcohol but no food! huge oversight on our part...we were just so excited

In 2000 I was interviewed on a french speaking daily magazine show in Quebec, Canada, with my friend.
We'd travelled from the UK to Montreal to see a couple of shows and they interviewed us about it and showed it on TV that night (I'm guessing it was a very slow news day!!). That was my 15 minutes of fame even it was only in Quebec and in french !

ME AND BUSH!! LMFAO!!Oh, This reminded me of a time I was on TV that I forgot. One day I had to go to a breakfast at this restaurant near my work to accept a check from the community for the non-profit I worked for. When I got there, a bunch of TV crews, busses, people, etc, were there. I knew it wasn't for our thing. My co-worker and I then noticed Geo Bush and Cheney's busses. They were there on their campaign. So, I saw a side door we could sneak into. (There were people peeking thru the windows 'cuz they didn't know how to get in, we only wanted to get in for our business, I hate Bush.) Anyway, our thing was in a room in the back of the restaurant, but they postponed it an hour so Bush could do his thing.
So, I am hanging around where Bush, Laura, Cheney, our governor, and other dignitaries were. I started talking to a Texas Ranger who was next to Bush, (I didn"t realize we were in a reception line). The Ranger turned from Bush to chat with me. So, there was all of us in a line. Then some lady walked behind Bush and just stood there. Bush felt unconfortable and nodded his head backwards. The Ranger didn't see him 'cuz he was talking to me. I had to tell him. So, the Ranger leaves and I am suddenly shoved shoulder to shoulder against Bush. Next thing that happened I loved! The other dignitaries started walking in front of us to shake hands with all of us in the reception line. Well, lo and behold, I am on Bush's side pushed up against him on his right and Laura on his left, but not shoved as close to him as I was.
Now get this, I hated our governor back then, (I hate the one we got now also), anyway, I just decided to shake hands as the people filed by. The kick for me was that when the governor came by, he reached out to shake my hand and I pulled mine back!! I snubbed him and he thought I was someone very special since I was closer to Bush than anyone!! I know the media likely searched a long time to figure out who I was. It looked like I was a very close relative or somebody so special that Cheney and all those otheres weren't as close and many important people weren't even in the line, they had to file through and shake our hands cuz we were more important. They never did know who I was. I think its so funny. His protection back then was ZERO! I could had pickpocketed him, stabbed him, anything. I was literally pushed against hiim.

The TV people picked all of this up.

When I was 3 years old I was the lead story on the news when our car went into the Merrimack River in Lowell, Ma. while I was in the back seat...

I did do a couple of interviews within the past 20 yrs, one was on the sentencing of a nut job that murdered a 14 year old girl, and he also attacked me years later, and he has assaulted and raped a couple of other women... Although I got this loser indicted, I never got to testify at his trial, but he did end up going to prison for a whole 5 yrs with 5 yrs time served, because he was tried as a juvenile.
He just got released a few weeks ago... :x
