very surprised alice in chains lack of hype on new album

i am so surprised at the lack of hype with the new Alice in chains album... no cd or vinyl single.. no pre order offer other than itunes.. cmon? Am i the only one out there that wants an album in hand? I m not saying im against digital but I like to have it... i dunno sorry for my rant

What do you mean no CD? It's comes out on the 29th?

I pre-ordered an autographed CD through newbury comics last week. And I'm sure a vinyl release will come soon enough

They sell limited autographed booklets by alot of artists. The autographed booklet will come with your cd but will not be the one inside the sleeve. You will get two album covers. At least that's how my Chris Cornell one for "Carry on" came.

The autographed ones are sold out I believe, I got one. AIC have been doing a shit load of interviews and touring to hype the record. Also Check My Brain is a huge rock radio hit, it's #1 on Billboard's Rock Songs list.

i also pre-ordered a signed cd cover from Newbury Comics online for the new album. Cant wait to get it. I will also get the vinyl LP if one gets released! I got Laynes autograph back in 1992 on my ticket stub. I miss him sorely, but the new singer does a pretty good job harmonizing with Jerry and the new stuff sounds great!

I'm not surprised... if pearl jam finished in the late 90's and come back now with an album no one would care as well. The same if SG came out with a new album now. I for I aren't a fan of AIC anyway so maybe I'm a little biased.

Some harsh words... I just expcted some sort of offer from their website thats all. The new material sounds great! I guess i kinda expected from them what pj offers their fans, i feel more in the loop and part of a family of sorts. Its not just about buying the record and litening to it here... Feel me?
