Adrian Belew got his start playing "Stunt Guitar" for Frank Zappa. He then moved on to help Talking Heads create two of their best albums. After his time with the Heads he joined King Crimson as lead vocalist and guitarist.
Adrian is currently on a North American Tour. You can catch him tonight at the MOD CLUB in Toronto.

Apparently when he auditioned for Zappa's band, things did not go too great at first. Sensing this he asked Frank if they could go somewhere more private, where he could show his true talents. Whilst playing for Frank he stopped mid-tune and suggested that the noise of some bird squawking outside fitted in nicely with what he was playing, Zappa smiled and said something like "Adrian, you're a beautiful person" and offered him the gig.
Only seen him live once, with Bowie, he was phenominal.
