any Jammers going to see Kings Of Leon at Great woods (Comcast Center) tomorrow?

This is my first time seeing them and I have 14th row.. missed their early appearances...

I'm really into "Molly Chambers" and most of the songs they are doing on this tour..

I have a couple of really good FM broadcasts from the 2008 and early 2009 tour..so I'm ready..

Any Pj'ers haning out in the parking lot give me a shout!

Scott

I'll be there, although I'm not sure yet how early. I was hoping they had mixed up their sets a little bit since the last couple times I saw them (November 08 and April 09) but they haven't really. Although they did play soft last night, which was a nice surprise.

Do you have links to those FM broadcasts? I would love to get a copy if possible.

    Thanks

Molly Chambers? Man, that was a different band that played that song ... wasn't it?

I saw them at the Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh in April of this year. Amazing show. Lots of energy and they sound awesome live. I would love to see them an amphitheater type setting, complete with tailgate and lots and lots of booze.

Have fun - should be a great show. Can't say that I'm not jealous...

Saw them at the Agganis Arena at BU this April and now they are all "big time". Good for them but I am glad I saw them at a smaller venue because it will never happen again. It's Comcast Center and the Garden from here on out.

I can think of another band that went from small clubs to big venues and still rock...

    Hmmmmm?

    How was the agganis performances?

I love how because they went from small clubs to big venues and are popular, while only slightly changing their sound, people on here hate them. If I hated all bands that fit that category, my iPod would be almost empty.

Less than 2 years before that show, they played right next door at the Paradise.

Don't get me wrong, the show was phenomenal. I would see them again in a heartbeat. I'm just saying I was glad to have seen them at a smaller venue. Kinda like wishing I could have seen PJ at the Paradise or Jillians or some small venue because they will never be there again.

Kings of Leon- last night at Great Woods..

    Quite Simply...

They blew the doors off of the Comcast Center..those doors must have landed somewhere on Rte 495..

yes that good! and I have been going to concerts for over 30 years..

I can't imagine what it must have been like to see the Stones in their heyday but to witness Kings of Leon live at this stage in their careers, feels like a pinnacle moment in their rise to be one of the greatest live bands ever...

    KOL Bashers be damned...

Tight tight sound system and a kick ass light show as well...

One of the best concerts from a hard driving original American rock band I have ever seen.

Caleb's voice sounded epic the whole night... seemded like he was having a blast moving around alot...

If anyone cam post the setlist, I would be gratefull...

I know they opned with Closer, then Crawl?, Molly Chambers, tons of great songs.. and closed with Use Somebody as the very last song of the encore...

Thanks.. were any of these "never played before" as I think Caleb suggested?

also, where's a good place to look for a boot from this show?

"Four kicks" was a blistering perfromance last night BTW..

I know they played Soft and I Want You the show prior to Greatwoods, but prior to that hadn't played them in awhile.

Trani hasn't been played in awhile.

I think everything else has been in rotation for these past tours.

Not sure about the boot. Probably just have to keep an eye out for an audience recording. I heard they are releasing a DVD in October.

Yeah I called "Closer" as the opener since it was such a rainy stormy night... and I was right! :)

The skies are blinking at me
I see a storm bubbling up from the sea
    And it's coming closer
    And it's coming closer

and yes, they "rocked me face off" too..

can't believe anyone can accuse them of selling out.. they are in fine form!
reminds me of the PJ Hartford 2008 show energy wise..

    Blistering from start to finish..

LOL!!! Glad you got your face rocked off too! I couldn't care less about the remix album stuff...I enjoy them live, and as long as I like the music they're making, I'm going to buy it. And, keep letting them rock my face off 8-)

    great review! great photos!

I would love a copy of your audio if you can B&P me?

I was amazed at the late comers.. most of them Frat boys who did more socializing then watching the show...

This band is in FINE form!
