I wonder how much was actually spent on food & drinks because I see alot being spent
on tips,service charges,taxes......
Probably standard for a party like that but it must have been nice for the staff that shared
in that pool.

Looks like Leaf was still hoarding pills back then if he was pissed about a $3000 tab

i would gladly pay 10 x that amount on a bill to get that kind of salary
  • Poor Larry English. Just signed a five-year, $13.4 million contract with a $9.9 million signing bonus (to play football), and then has to fork over $15,000 for dinner for all 52 teammates. Life just isn't fair.....
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share, his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.
  • I guess the 49ers are still waiting for their free meal...

Christ, who said the guy was complaining? Who said Pro athletes don't make shitloads of money?
Of course any one of us regular stiffs would gladly fork over a paltry $14,000 because hell, it's just
burning a hole in our pocket anyway.

It was the "other" charges on the bill that I found interesting.

    Banquet gratuity - $1,890
    Admin charge - $333
    Event SvcCHg - $2,223

That with the taxes made up close to 50% of the total bill.

It is tax deductible, so its more like he is out-of-pocket $11,000....just sayin' !!

it looks like banquet gratuity + Admin charge = the event service charge.

So they really did eat/drink $11,117.75. That's good eatin' :D

Shocking that Ryan Leaf whined about it when he was a rookie. What a douchebag.
  • based on his signing bonus and contract, this is equal to someone earning $45,000 and having to spend 53 bucks on dinner.
