Brann Dailor from Mastodon is the best f'n drummer. Period. End of story.

They're not even in the same building, barely in the same town.
  • Just because a drummer flies at a million miles a minute ALL the time doesn't make him the best. There's a lot to be said for the technical side of drumming as well.

He is the latest in a string of very good drummers that is behind the kit for The Mars Volta.

He is very good and i like to listen to him playing. I'm not a drummer so it is hard for me to get into "he is the best" conversaton, but for my untrained ears i would not be so quick to diminish brann dailor's playing comparetively to pridgen. I think they are both really good.

That said their are others out there I'm sure that are superb as well.

Are you referring to Thomas Pridgen? What isn't technical about his drumming?
