Amazon preorders?

What have you experienced with pre-ordering through Amazon? The first and only thing I've ever preordered through them is Beatles Rockband, let me say it for you....(clears throat)..."Learn how to play a real instrument" okay, now that that's out of the way, my estimated day of delivery is Sept. 14. Is this typical? I assumed that if it was preordered (I ordered in June) it would be to me on release date. I'm in N. California so shipping shouldn't be an issue. Guess I should of just bought it at target

I've preordered from Amazon before and received things the day of release or once the day before. Amazon is usually great about that stuff and always put out a later ETA.

I have gotten some items the day of or before but twice they were very late. Weeks late.

my only experiences have been with harry potter books, and theyve always come on time. but i think someone at amazon would have gotten fired if harry potter orders were delivered early, or murdered if they were delivered late :P

I always preorder stuff on Amazon. I never had any problems.

Amazon has my apologies. When I tracked my order on the 8th it gave an ETA of the 14th. It arrived on the 9th as advertised -- sorry for jumping the gun amazon! You lived up to expectation.
