I'll preface this by saying I'm resistant to change. I tend to not like new things. Notice I'm fairly new to this forum...? It's not because I'm new to the band, but because I'm new to this newfangled computer crap. I'm 28 and I just recently made my first purchase on Amazon.

And I am STOKED about the new album. I really am. (AND I'm going to see them in Portland in a few weeks and GoddammitImsofuckingexcited!!) But I have to admit "The Fixer" and sundry other clips I've heard haven't exactly moved me. They sound okay, but... I don't know. I already have it on preorder, and I expect I'll give it a few listens and feel sort of numb with it. Then I expect I'll pick it back up and play it in 6 months or so and it'll click. That's how it tends to go with me.

Anybody else feel that way?

  • So, can't say I agree about "The Fixer", but get what your saying overall. Sometimes new albums take a while to work themselves into your life.

    Enjoy Portland!
