My tenclub number is xxxxxx

You notice how some people are now only showing two digits of their ten club number, even if they have a six-digit number? I've always wondered why people put xxx's in their number in the first place. Am I missing something? It's not exactly your credit card number or anything... what's the harm? Three x's always seemed to be the norm, but now people are even posting numbers like 23xxxx. Eventually we'll start seeing

"I'm going to MSG1 and my ten club number is xxxxxx."

    I just can't remember, so for me 334,xxx equates: "something like 334thousandsomething". I don't care that it's so high either, cause I can't ever get 10C tickets anyway :p

    Originally the 10C # was the default login password for the goods section. Now most people change their password.

    so now we all know your 10C number, screen name, age and where you go to college. hackers can find out more than that on their own anyway, so maybe it doesnt matter, but why give out what someone should have to work to steal?

    personally, i dont want to give out any info, but as far as 10C number all i know is 198XXX. WHO CARES!!!!!!!!! go have some cranberry juice.

    I've got a friend who hasn't changed it either (and her number is a low 5 digits!)...mmm, I know it, maybe I should have changed her details, booked as her and well, knock over 200,000 of my allocation, putting me very damn close! she's not even using it this year!

    I know that's MY reason for saying my number is 242xxx ... I haven't memorised and can't be bothered looking up the rest.. the first 2 digits are the only meaningful ones anyway, as far as seniority goes.

    Ahhh, okay. Doing it because you forget or don't know your exact number makes sense.

    Still, people who do it to cover up their identity makes no sense to me. It's not even part of your identity.

    actually, being 19 has nothing to do with it. There's not fucking much that they could do with it -- it's not a fucking social security number.

    I think a lot of people don't actually know their whole number, but know the first couple digits so that's why they fill in with x's.

    Never been asked for my number at a 10C window, but do recall mod suggestion to never use full 10C number online.

    On the 10c website it was also the default password to your account and my still be if you haven't changed it. What does it matter to anyone? You get the idea of where they are statuswise in the Club from the first few numbers.
