For everyone who hasn't been to Massey Hall, myself included even though I live down the street... here's a couple of photos I found of the interior of Massey Hall. It's pretty damn small!

To be honest, both those pictures make the place look bigger than when you're actually there. We're all in for a treat in that venue - you won't believe the feeling of intimacy until you get inside.

For those that have been there, which seats of these 2 pairs are better:

    4-OLV-Balcony RCB1 Row I seats 67-68 ( I think these are partially obstructed view?)

    or
    RSG Row C seats 119-120

    which would you keep?

I had centre Balcony before, row I, and I believe it's the last row in the balcony. To be honest I hated not having anyone behind me. I felt removed from the crowd. Personally I didn't like those seats, and I'd say keep the gallery seats, even though they may be higher up.

In the first picture I thought it looked huge, but the second one makes it look a lot smaller

Thanks Lukin,it looks like it is 2nd last row......im assuming the black dot in the seating chart is a pillar? From what i can tell it is not obstructed view?

I got tickets online thru masseyhall.com friday morning after being shut out of both 10c and edge pre-sales .I don't know how I scored floor seats but I did. On night 1 ,I have a single ticket for row K(11 rows back from the stage, Left centre). I am going by myself. Night 2 I am bringing my hubby.we have partially obstructed view in last row on floor, but like previously stated, it's so intimate there it doesn't matter.
I have seen Tori Amos 2x there, balcony(obstructed partially and floor) and Dead Can Dance ,i was up in the centre left gallery, 3 rows back, still frickin awesome and clear view. The sound will give you all chills.
I can't imagine how good Eddie, and Liam will sound. It will be so special.Woo hoo!Soo excited.

Being 2nd in line Friday morning at the TM outlet (only due to the damn wristband draw... otherwise I would have been 1st... argh), I managed to pull up Row M on the floor! There is a pillar two rows in front, but from the seating plan it looks like it will only obstruct the side of the stage... not a big deal for a solo show! Plus my 10 Club seats on night 2 will surely compensate for any obstructed view! Considering the odds, I think those of us who are in the building for both nights are pretty damn lucky! Can't WAIT!

Oh you're right, it is 2nd last row. Hmm, tough call then. I know fur sure the last row wasn't good at all. I don't remember if my tickets were obstructed (they were free), although if they were it wasn't a pole but the overhang from the gallery. So if you're tall this might interfere with your view. Then again I'm not sure if the 2nd last row had the same "obstructedness" as I did.

I've never sat in the gallery, so maybe someone who has been up there can comment.

It's such a viewer friendly place that the only "bad" seat is really directly
behind a pole. or a Greek.

Seriously, it's a terrific place to catch a show, the acoustics alone
will make you think you are sitting in your living room with earphones on.

Gallery (RSG) = wooden seats and no leg room....

Those RCB seats are not obstructed view according to my seating map of Massey Hall or my memory or Massey Hall (I don't think any of the RCB or LCB are obstructed view, only some of the LSB and RSB seats)

I'd take the RCB seats personally (but I am on the tall side)

how comfortable are the wooden seats

I have no ass and my ass gets numb after a while if they are really uncomfortable

should I bring one of those puffy cushions like at baseball games ?

    lol, thanks

I've only seen 3 shows at Massey Hall:

    Janes Addiction
    Arcade Fire
    Neil Young

Adding Vedder to that list is going to be pretty sweet. Massey is an amazing venue. Probably the best venue in Toronto (big or small) in my opinion.
