it's scary I know but one show has caught my eye and I find myself rather amused and wanting to watch more

It's Phineas and Ferb and it's on the Disney channel

It's actually quite good. . .

Well I don't have kids yet, but in my house normally the tv is on cartoon network or nickelodeon, i love cartoons, I wanted to be an animator as a second job when i grew up but i didn't have the chance.

Sponge bob is the best cartoon, in terms of writing.
penguins of madagakar is the best in animation and it has good writing too.

  • It's not a cartoon but I really like Imagination Movers. Even though it's a show about music geared towards kids it's not done in a cheesy way. The songs have depth both lyrically and musically that is usually absent in kid's songs. I don't mean that the meaning of life is buried in there, but for the target age groups that make up their demographic it's pretty layered. Plus it's filmed in New Orleans and Mover Dave is an LSU graduate, so I gotta give props to locals making waves.

I also love Camp Lazlo on Cartoon Network, but I haven't been able to find it lately. Hopefully some new episodes will be premiering soon.
    It's all about the music...

Not exactly a cartoon, but definitely kids:

    The penguins of Madagascar.

OMG! I crack up watching that.

Cute and cuddly boys, cute and cuddley

    King Julian is hilarious.

Two newer ones on Cartoon Network that I enjoy watching with my kids are FlapJack and Chowder. Very inventive in terms of plot/artwork. Avatar was a great plot driven series too.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

The Mr Men Show ... fairly amusing actually, especially when there's Mr Grumpy and Mr Stubborn having an argument!
