I went to Target today...

And they were selling the Fixer single on Vinyl....it was weird.

    True. Never have I seen a 7" sold at a big retailer before in my life. Makes me think they will be stocking the Backspacer vinyl as well.

    and they were all unsealed, so you totally could have just grabbed the record and have been on your way

    7" 45 RPM records are never sealed. Not even way back when all singles were on vinyl; they always were sold unsealed.

    Sometimes, I think this crowd here gets too worked up over something being "sealed." Not you personally, mookeywrench...but just overall.

    I wasn't bringing up the single factor for monetary value but rather for security reasons. They make CD's hard as hell to open because it makes them harder to shoplift but these singles were just out there for the taking

    There was nothing in today's ad. Usually I think Best Buy would have a little picture of an album cover and say when it will be out. Other than on this site and the story in Rolling Stone, I'm really not seeing and hearing about this album anywhere else. And I work at Target!

    Oh my God, you've got to be kidding. I'm really not looking forward to going to Target to get this, the one near me is real generic and I hate going in there, reminds me of Kmart which is not a good thing. I think I'm going to preorder this week.

    Woo-hoo, found it at another location (Waukesha, WI, had seven copies if that helps anyone). Sure, I'll have the album in two weeks, but it's an awesome collectible. And the record itself is white!

    Walking thru target today saw the vinyl and had to purchase it. wasn't going to but when it's right there how could i say no. :D
