I have KEF speakers hooked up to a Denon HD reciever.

I replaced a Bose system I had with this, and let me be the first to tell you that Bose is all name. Granted, what I have now is a little pricey, but if you are looking for solid audio check out brands like KEF, Paradigm, Boston,
Definitive Tech, and Infinity makes some good stuff. IMO, Bose is just a surround sound in a box company that pumps out a ton of bass to make you think it sounds great.

The only Bose I have is an acoustic wav radio in my basement that I got for being at my former company for 5 years. Small and powerful, but not on the same level as my Denon/Onkyo/Mirage system.
