Which I know won't, but where would the side a/side b division be? I think, If they did it like Ten, Unthought Known would be the first song on side b. Cassette, how funny. Why don't we get the old phonograph machines out. We'll crank the record and put a big seashell thing over the vinyl. How about Backspacer on 8 Track.

  • This album is so short, it could all fit on one side. HA!

Every no and then I hit the "stop/eject" button on the 10C homepage hoping it will flip, come on tenclub, what's on the b-side???

people would buy a cassette from the 10C, another one from target, another from their local indie shop, and then they would download the cassette version from itunes. so i mean the band could sell another 100,0000 copies, and to only 5000 people, so they should go for the cassette version.

I still rock out my Vitalogy cassette, every time I have to drive my crummy van.

    Yes

  • I would totally buy a copy of Backspacer if it came out on cassette. What was the last PJ album to be released in that format? Binaural??

all my legal "PJ albums" were first on cassette till self-titled, so I used to it.
But I have to say - it's only for a few years. now I can't listen to them - they are broken (or whatever word suits here more - forgive me my english) - i listened them probably too often. now cds are better.
anyway - i still have some divisions of Their albums in my mind - because of cassettes a- and b-sides. so i don't mind - especially when the first song on b-side would be Unthought known

Casette really serves no purpose unless your drive an older car before cd players were standard.

Vinyl is great for the sound quality, collected and revered by audiophiles.
CD is great because the sound quality is still pretty good and it's very portable. CD's don't get jammed like casettles, you can record onto cassettes, you can skip chapters. You can burn cd's way faster than you can dub a casettle.
MP3 - less sound quality, but its a compromise made for portability.

I can understand Vinyl, CDs, and MP3s, but cassette? whats the point? Its like video tape. Everyone was willing to jump off the video tape bandwagon.. lol

Ten was the only pj album I owned on cassette. I remember buy Vs. and Tom Petty's greatest hits on cd during a grade 9 field trip to a larger city (parliament building visit i think). Those were some of my earliest cd's.

In my teenage years - cassette recorder was the most popular player we had (in my country). I could only dream about cd player. and I didn't have vinyl's - my parents are not too in music.

  • It will probably come out on cassette.... in Indonesia....

You can get pretty much every pearl jam studio album on cassette on ebay, and some of them are pretty cheap.

I have seen Lost Dogs, Riot Act, and Avocado.

Here's a link to an Avocado cassette ebay auction, produced by Sony Music Indonesia.
