I know this topic comes up from time to time so just wanted to add that I think that the untitled from Oklahoma City 03 would be great for a wedding. Great song and great version...especially the end.

While I disagree that this would be a great wedding song, I did post in the Outside Lands review how much I really miss the Untitled intro into MFC ... I always thought it was brilliantly done.Post edited by jimed14 on"You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

if only you can cut out the crowd...then i would agree...the crowd just wont fit in a wedding setting0

To clarify, I think this would be good for the reception...not the actual wedding ceremony.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0

so a first dance or a reception intro song ... I got that, just think it's a bit forced if you went that route."You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

if you can switch the meaning of "lies" from fibbing to laying down, you could use better man...but i still wouldn't recommend it0

if you're marrying a car then the song is perfect!

just kidding... do what you want...it's your funer...wedding
Not saying I would do it
but I think its better than Long Road and some of the other suggestions that usually get tossed around in these threads. 2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

Just Breathe is soon to become the staple pearl jam wedding song...Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...0

Not sure about a first dance song... but Golden State has become a fav for my wife and I. Also I have quoted Hail, Hail in two best man speeches...0

How about Thin Air?I know that I was born and I know that Ill die.
The in between is mine. I am mine.0 -

I'm hoping to sell my fiance on Thin Air as our "first dance" song. I plan on subtly playing it on the ipod tomorrow on the way out of town and then mentioning how great a song I think it would be . . .
He's shot down everything else so far, so here's hoping

It's a nice song. I really lke it. But it is too depressing for me to imagine it being played at a wedding. I like to here funk at weddings. I put it on a mixed tape for a girl when I was in high school.TDR0

I wanted Thin Air for my wedding song, my wife won out with her choice, And I love her, by The Beatles.0

I don't think anyone should try to force a PJ song into their wedding dance. The two don't go together well.0 -
We are getting married on New Years Eve this year..we are closing our wedding out @ 1am with the Lollapalooza 2007 version of Rockin In the Free World0

No they do not. But Yellow Ledbetter is always great to close out the reception (I've been to 5 weddings that closed out the reception with Ledbetter, including mine). I wanted to use Betterman as a first dance just for the sheer comedic value but people take first dances way too seriously.Lauri wrote:
