Just wanted to get a sense of what your "Must Have" shows are. Not necessarily rarities that you want the band to release (although that could be the case), but overall what you consider the best shows that you have heard or even heard about.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

    I haven't attended these two shows... someone here on the board suggested them to me... simply AMAZING shows, you gotta get these :)

    10-3-05 would be my pick as well. And milan Italy 2000 amazing version of garden on it.

    1994-04-12 Orpheum (The play the original Immortality, before the changed the words for the album)

    1996-11-13 The Forum
    1998-03-05 Melbourne (Probably my favorite Bootleg)

    All the 00' - 09' bootlegs are really your own personal preference. The 94 bootlegs really are all amazing. I'm a huge fan of the old shows with Dave A on the skin, so I could argue that all of those are mandatory for any collection. :)

    With the older shows (pre 2000) i tend to value audio quality over the actual setlist/performance...

    All of those (except for the 98 Garden) have AMAZING quailty. All those 92 gigs are amazing. They were played in small venues, so they have a very raw, agressive sound. You'll love them!

    This sums it up IMHO. I'd add the Anniversary show 10/22/2000 from Las Vegas where they did "Crown Of Thorns".

    They play the original version of Immortality at the 4-11-94 Garden show too. They played that followed by Corduroy and my buddy and I thought it was one long song. Still a great way to listen to those two songs.

    I just got my hands on the 10-2-96 show yesterday as a matter of fact. Haven't heard it since that night, but I remember it being phenomenal. It didn't hurt that I didn't even know I was going until the day before and ended up in the 17th row, dead center. Can't wait to listen to it later on.

    we should really start a ratings system for bootlegs. A 1-5 scale on a number of things like length, rarities, band cohesion, crowd, band-crowd banter, special guests/unusual occurances.

    The rule is if you attended the show, you arent allowed to rate the boot.

    It would probably produce a pretty awesome ranking/points system.
