1st time in history...

that while driving, I changed the radio station while P.J. was on. It was Yellow Ledbetter and after hearing so many live versions, the studio one at that point in time was just too much of a downer. Thought it would never happen.

    You don't know how lucky you are! shame on you! I just about remember "alive" being played many years ago on the radio here in N.Ireland. I wouldn't dream of changing station if they were on! I don't even like stopping a pj song mid way through on my stereo and i only do it if i really have to! .... I know its really rather sad, i'm a freak!

    The main radio station in Belfast used to use an instrumental of "alive" when they were talkin about competions and the like! It used to crack me up, i'd hear the music and then be gutted it was only for some contest, I be like screaming "JUST PLAY THE FUCKING SONG YOU WANKERS!!!"

    I always change when Dissident comes on. and some of the songs co-opted by the pop stations cause me to change sometimes (e.g. Elderly Woman)

    I have changed Dissident before.. But this was years back when I didn't much like the song. I heard it around Christmas time this year and turned up the volume :D

    On a side note.. I sort of like the studio 'Yellow Ledbetter' It sure doesn't rival the live versions out there, but I still enjoy the studio version.. something about "make me cry" gets me every time.

    Why change? The only good thing that could happen is some other station playing another Pearl Jam song.
