I just saw a pro life billboard that uses "take my hand not my life" and a picture of a fetus holding hands with an adult arm. At first I thought "wow that's a pearl jam lyric" but then i realized soon it was whipping and i've heard that was about abortion. It was wierd because I didn't place the lyric to whipping until i got home. question : is whipping a pro choice song with pro life lyrics? let's talk about this whole shabang!

    I think you're mixing up Whipping with Corduroy.

    Whipping - Don't need a hand, there's always arms attached...

    Corduroy - Take my hand, not my picture...

    Whipping is clearly a pro-choice song in the sense that the lyrics are strongly anti-moral majority.
    I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

    You know what you're right. But i realize now that I was actually thinking of tremor christ: "I'll decide. Take the dive. Take my time. Not my life."
    they are all on the same album. but if you comebine them my op is still valid. well i guess not.
