the cokehead alcoholic psycho...

edited September 2009 in All Encompassing Trip
that lives across the street from me went jack nicholson on my screen window with a child-size putter. we had words once before, but we've been cool for months.

at about 6am i hear someone banging on the side of the house--woke me up, but i was in such a daze, i figured i just dreamed it. then around 9am, it happens again...banging on the house, then i open the window and see this lunatic out there screaming "wheres he at? wheres he at?" then he starts busting out my screen with the child's club. i ran outside with a bat and starting running toward him with my fist cocked ready to punch him in the face until my next door neighbor got in front of me and calmed me down. he told me that he is a complete lunatic and its not worth it for me to go to jail.

i called the police and all seems to be well now, but it was one of the most surreal things i've ever experienced.

    Absolutelly sureal :s

but someday someone have to take care of him or he should end doing some real harm, I don't mean hitting him with a bat but maybe some relative.

i never intended on hitting him with the bat. i did want to punch him in the face, but i'm glad i didn't. i talked to his father, and his father was cool and apologized and said he would pay for the screen. but i know for a fact that the dad does coke with the son, so we'll see how long the peace lasts. thank god i'm moving soon.

you wouldnt get in trouble for beating him, as far as you know he was a robber, i mean he was hitting your house with a putter

yeah, well, nyc cops play by their own laws. the cop told me if there was "damage," they could lock him up. i showed the cop what he did to the screen, but i guess it wasn't enough because they let the asshole go with what the cop told me would be a "strong warning."

haha! it wasnt even the door...it was the side of the house, so he had to walk onto the property first. none of this seemed to matter to the cops.

what would professor gates say if he knew they let this white boy go for this?

Yeah, it's the same way in Detroit.
The jails are all so crowded, it seems like you literally have to commit some kind of violent felony for them to take you into custody.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Courtney Love and I was here to tell you to bring it to Other Music. Cool story though. Glad it's never happened to me.
