Hello all,

I will be picking up 10-Club seats for the first time in Philly and I was hoping someone could answer some questions.

1. How many hours before the show do they open the windows to claim the 10-club tickets?
2. Are the lines usually brutal?
3. When you get them, do they force you to go into the arena, or are you allowed to head back to the parking lot to tailgate?

Thanks in advance. Any additional hints would he awesome too.

Party On!

I think they might let you pick up 10/31 tix when you pick up your 10/30 tix. With the large amount of 10c tix sold for the 31st, it would make sense.

Not a chance this will happen. Tickets are always picked up the day of the show.

Usually the ticket window opens around 11:00 or so...I've found the best time to go is around 3:00 or 4:00. Usually no line at all...

  • You can pick up your tickets at WILL CALL at the Spectrum any time after you get to the parking lot and park your car, but no rush. Even when I get to the lot at three, I usually wait till 5 or 6 to go get my tickets. It avoids the lines at will call. Your tickets are already in a separate envelope at this time, better seats are not given out based on pick up time.
After you get your tickets are not forced inside. Doors open around 6:30. You can go in early, see the set up and opening act. You can return to the parking lots and party till 8:30,basically you do what every you want. Make sure you have your photo id when you pick up your tickets. They will not give you tickets with out proper id. They have never given tickets for the next nights shows at the same time, and I doubt this will be any different.(But it would be nice!)
Have a good time and enjoy your shows

For the MSG shows in 2003 they let people pick up tickets a few days before the shows because of the high number of 10club members. I remember going to the Hotel Pennsylvania and getting my tickets. It was nice.

  • Thank you guys for all your help.

I had an additional question...If by some chance I have floor seats, and I allowed to leave the floor area, go up to say the 300 section, give friends my tickets and let them go down on the floor for a few songs?

Or is it once you get onto the floor, you don't have access to the concourse level?

    Thank you

i would think so but probably depends on venue.

tickets are usually picked up the day of the show
sometimes ticket windows go by letter groupings like A- E, F-J etc -- like in Chicago last week
sometimes the line is just one big cluster f#$% -- like in Hartford CT last year
don't bring your friend with you -- they will only make the line longer (again Hartford CT)
and yes you can go back and tailgate (if you get there early)

They allowed you to pick up both nights at the same time as this was the first time the tickets were pre-assigned in envelopes. They were given space at the Inter-Continental Hotel I believe (definitely not the Pennsylvania Hotel) as to have that many people line up outside of the Garden is impossible during a business day. If I recall correctly, this started on the day of the first show (7/8) and not a few days before.

Expect to pick up tickets each individual day for each individual show. Six years later, they've got the envelope system down pat and have been starting ticket distribution much earlier in the day than in 2003.

This didn't work in Tampa last year. A buddy of mine was on the floor with his girlfriend and son and I was in the 100s. His girlfriend and son came up to my seat to exchange tickets but security wouldn't let me on the floor with her ticket because I didn't have an X on my hand. They were checking everyone's hands. In retrospect, I couldve tried saying that I had just gotten there but Im not sure she would have bought it.

ahhh yes. I stand corrected. It would be nice if they do it again, but only time will tell I guess!

Yeah, the MSG shows were the first time that everyone was seated in order of their 10c number. But I remember picking up my tickets at least a day or two before the show. I came into NYC specifically to get my tickets then left. Also, I am pretty sure that I picked up my tickets from the Hotel Pennsylvania because its right across the street from MSG. I googled the Inter-Continental Hotel and don't think that was the place to pick up tickets, that hotel is at 48th and Park Ave, right? Oh well, maybe someone can set this straight. :) Either way both MSG shows were AMAZING!! For the second show I was up in the 300 section and it rocked!!! Great times!!!

    Party On!

    1. You'll get an information about when and where to pick up your ticket when 10C sends you an order confirmation. The window usually opens around noon the day of the concert. As someone mentioned, you can only pick up tickets for the show that night... meaning if you go to pick up your 10/30 show ticket, you won't be able to pick up 10/31 tix at the same time... gotta wait one more day!

    2. It depends. I just went to both Chicago shows (doors opened at 6:30). Got there around 4:00 for night 1 and we waited about 10 mins. On night 2, we got there around 6:30 and again, only waited about 10 mins. My recommendation is to get there EARLY anyway (especially if you suspect a lot of 10C tickets have been be sold). I'll always remember the Gorge in 2006... there was such a huge line that some people missed the first few songs... and they opened with WASH!

    3. The windows for the ticket box offices are outside the venue so you don't have to go in until you're ready. Once you've have your ticket scanned and you're inside, there's no re-entry.

oh, here's a tip.... print out a copy of the venue's seating chart. when you get your envelope with 10C tickets inside, the tix just have the section, row, seat so it's a good idea to bring the seating chart so you have an idea of where you're sitting.
Makes much more sense to live in the Present Tense.

    Shows: 05/30/03, 09/02/05, 09/04/05, 09/05/05, 09/24/05, 09/25/05, 07/22/06, 04/02/08 (EV solo), 08/08/09, 08/23/09, 08/24/09, 09/25/09, 09/21/11, 09/23/11, /9/30/12, 12/02/13... many more to come!
