I Just Finished College

This year I had to repeat my final year in college. I have long since stopped caring about computers (which is what I am studying) but my stubborness has brought me through. I just finished my last presentation. Whether I passed or failed is moot now as I'm not allowed to repeat a second time.
Either way, I'm so far past caring about this crap that even though I've been doing it for 5 years, Idon't think I'll be all that disappointed if I don't get it. Looking back, i made some bad decisions. Probably should've dropped my course and done something I cared about. For a long time though I didn't know what I wanted to do, and like I said I was too stubborn.
Now I have a better idea of where I wanna go, and it sure as hell doesn't involve computers. Point is now I'm free to do what I want (money permitting :P ) and I couldn't be happier.

Make sure you do something you can enjoy and that can sustain you.

I'm a year out of college & still finding my feet with this whole thing. I really want to chuck it all in and become a rock star / professional footballer / distinguished actor....but i have no talent. Ah well.

My point was: fair fucks to ya, you're your own man now.

Ah, tis such a relief finishing college though, tis a great achievement. T'was for me anyway, had some very stressful and grown up times during those 4 years, I wish I let loose a bit more. Count yourself lucky that you were able to travel around during your time there :)

Don't be put off by my bad experiences. I think College is brilliant, and I'd love to go back and do something I cared about if I had the money. I had a lot of good times over the years, just not in relation to the academic side :P

I'm a year out of college & still finding my feet with this whole thing. I really want to chuck it all in and become a rock star / professional footballer / distinguished actor....but i have no talent. Ah well.

if you wanna be a rock star with me, that'd be cool, i have like, the littlest bit of talent but who cares, that's not important ;)

college can bite it! i've got another year to go and i'm a senior! and i'm not too thrilled about this whole day job monotony thing, specially if i'll only be paid like $15/hour. wtf is up with teacher salaries?! you mean i have to pay $30k+ all to make that much a year!? ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!

fuck it all. i'm becoming a rock star.

and to the OP, congrats! hopefully your degree will allow you to work to support whatever it is you truly want to do :)

computers are for geeks and college is for hippies anyway. ;)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
