Att: BRISBANE JAMMERS

edited September 2009 in Given To Fly (live)
Hey all, to lazy to go through and see if anyone has already posted something similar so sorry if its a repeat.

Was just talking to a mate and we decidied we should see if anyone was interested in booking a hotel in Brisbane for couple of days and trying to get as many PJ people staying there as possible?

Im happy to do all the ground work to find somewhere suitable to hold such a ruckus. Seeing as its last show of Oz tour, thought it would be cool.

Post your thoughts or Pm me or whatever, and if this is a repeat thread, please point me in the right direction to join up if this idea is already out there.

Jammers Start Your Engines!!!

  • i stayed at a place up there in May, called Central Summit Apartments, five mins from Casino. could be a go. if we get 15-20-25-30 people we could get a nice discount.

  • Wife and I were hoping to get something near the venue for the night before and the night after, though it's sounding tough. If this takes off we would definitely consider it, depending on location/price etc. so I guess there is potentially +2 for you.

    peace

ps. Milan you are most definitely NOT welcome in our country after the cricket! I will be contacting immigration to make sure you don't get in!

j/k of course ;) the more the merrier

Just so you know I am the most unpatriotic guy in the world.

I always want the Aussies to win any test matches against England (just to here the commentators scream BRETT LEE !!!) and always root for Argentina at football. I am usually most welcome most places apart from Pubs here in England as I upset too many of the local folks.

i think the thread title might be a little misleading, i think if it said something along the lines of "Jammers Travelling to Brisbane" you might get a few more people involved.

as i only clicked on this thinking it would involve me somehow as i am a jammer from brisbane. where as it's really not that relevant to me, as i don't need accommodation as i live here. so maybe people who are going to brisbane haven't even looked at this thread as they think it's from jammers already in brisso.

but anyway, hope you get something sorted, i'm looking forward to meeting up with a few of the travelling fans in brisso.

There are a few people staying at Garden City Travelodge near the venue....Aus Suz, EK, Vookie, Ozsmalltowngirl (so I've been told anyway).

I might be interested, Ryan......but I don't want to stay in a dump. So let me know where you are thinking and I'll consider it. There could be a few of us.

I normally stay here: http://astorapartments.com.au. Four people per room plus couch and easy to sneak extra people in -- $210 a night -- near Central train station.
