Rob Zombie's "Halloween II"

Let me preface this with how much I love the original John Carpenter's Halloween's, the 1978 original as well as the sequel. I was leery a few years ago when I heard that Rob Zombie was remaking this masterpiece, but of course I had to see it. To my surprise I really like Zombie's first Halloween, I loved the character development that he did around the young Michael Myers. I saw it in the theaters twice as well as bought the DVD when it was released.

So naturally, I was pretty excited when I started seeing previews for Zombie's "Halloween II", which I saw tonight. I'll keep it brief, so no spoilers. But I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this movie. I really don't know what Zombie was reaching for in this sequel, but it didn't reach me.....I just didn't get it. Very lame. If you're a fan, don't waste your time or money. I don't know if this was even worth a dollar on the RedBox DVD rental. This is a more of wait for cable release.

Anyone else see it? My wife and I were let down big time by Mr Zombie. He seemed to be getting better with each new movie, but this was a huge step back for him IMO.

His last Halloween movie sucked too. I won't even see this one.

And I really liked His other movies.

Disappointed to see all the horrible reviews out there. I also am a HUGE fan of Carpenter's original, and I actually enjoyed RZ's "remake" of the original. So needless to say, I had been anticipating Zombie's H2 ever since I saw the first trailer.

However, at this point I think I am going to just wait it out for a netflix rental. Normally I don't let online reviews influence my decision too much, as far as what movies I go see. That said, this one is getting blasted on almost every movie site I frequent, and it appears Zombie BOMBED with this attempt
