Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for buying Ticketmaster tickets (gotta get those Ed solo tix).....
Is it worth it to go to an actual TM location (I know I used to do that often back in the day)? Better to call? Better to do it online?

Thanks in advance!

going to a TM location will drastically reduce your chances. Just stay at home and try the computer and phone at the same time.

Don't refresh too much, they have a habit of kicking you out for that. Try using Firefox too ;)

LOL, I know, right? I did check on that actually (before I posted) and there still are locations! I thought *maybe* that would be the way to go. But y'all are right....better to stay in front of the computer.

    thanks!

Shut all running programs off on your computer.

Already be logged in w/ your credit card on file.

I like IE for TM onsales.

You got to love ticketmaster. I went to MGM at foxwoods this weekend to see Lisa Lampanelli, this ticket price was $20 and then ticketmaster added a $9.75 ticketmaster charge on top of that. How do they get away with adding a 49% charge on the price of the original ticket?

I have gotten seats to shows through ticketmaster locations when my friends have been shut out online. It just depends on luck.

First, if there is another major show on sale at the same time, don't bother...
there is a lottery for position in line if there are more than 3 people in line...

I got Chris Cornell tickets that sold out in less than 2 minutes (was the only one in line - went on sale at a really wierd random time)

Got Radiohead tickets that sold out just as fast. I was the first in line & the only one to get tickets.

You probably have a better chance on line - unless you do your homework & find a location that not many people know about, then it's worth it.

Good luck - I'm trring online this time - not standing in line with my two kids...one of them is bound to have to go to the bathroom 2 minutes before tickets go on sale!
