Beer without hops?

So I went back to the allergist today to see what other foods I'm allergic to and got some bad news. I LOVE hoppy beer. I love my Indian Pal Ale's, but I found out I'm moderately allergic to hops.
Any suggestions? I'm assuming Guinness has hops which also sucks for me.
I'm googling around and not finding much info on it. :?
At least I'm not allergic to grapes. I can drink all the red wine I want!

Good luck on your quest, and I'm sorry to hear about your newly discovered allergy. That's a drag man. :(

I've never heard that theory. That's interesting...
Are the effects of your allergy intolerable? Perhaps you could experiment and find a beer that sets you off very little, or in the best case, not at all.
and I agree on clear bottles...not too many good beers in those. The colored glass is actually used for the taste and quality reasons, so your afore mentioned theory maybe correct. Looks like you've got some researching to do.

...obviously too much beer will get anyone sick...but you know what I mean!
If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
I too am a big fan of hoppy beer!
Mmmm...
*head to fridge to get a Sierra Nevada*
I think I'm just going to pretend I never took the hops allergy test today.
I too was a huge beer drinker in my early days.
But as I aged and began to explore the great winers of Virginia my taste for vino grew.
Like I said, I wouldn't worry about it then.
It seems like you know what does and does not effect you. I think if you get to the point where you don't feel well or have some adverse reaction to drinking beer, then you may consider other options.

Looks like you're gonna have to go out on a limb for it. Sucks, man.
Hoegarden is some good beer. It's the Belgian version of wheat beer. I didn't think it was possible to make beer without hops. That's like one of the essential ingredients.
I'm pretty sure you can drink miller lite, bud lite, coors, and pretty much any big name american lager as i've never TASTED hops in those beers
