Just went to Target here in Memphis on 8-26-09 and my jaw dropped when I saw the Fixer single on the shelf!
The reason I can`t believe this is
1. Target is selling a vinyl recording in there store .
2. I didn't preorder this from Ten Club and I am glad that I didn`t. Was this known that it would be sold in the stores for the same price as Ten Club?

Not here in Columbia, MO Target. They 'didn't get their shipment'. This is why I ordered mine from 10c.

i know they are out in Charlotte, NC. And i had a friend of mine look in CT for me. No lie, this was the conversation they had: (note, from what i heard on the phone, he was young)

Friend: "Are you sure it didn't come out. The person I'm buying this for is very reliable and wouldn't be mistaken about this. Its on a 45"

Target associate: "The album name is '45'? "

Friend: "No before cds, singles were put out on a record called a 45...for 45 rpms"
"Some people think it makes a difference...I think it's the difference that makes it"

I checked in the one on Staten Island, and the guy was like "Pearl Jam?" 3 or 4 times. Finally looks in the computer and goes again-"Pearl Jam, the rock group? " No, they did not have it and had no idea it even exists.

It's in the Portland, OR area Targets. I know of 3 in the area with them. They're on the top shelf of the endcap with new release cds. It's pretty cool to see.

Also they're going to be carrying the LP when the album is released.

Though the new PJ items are very important to all of us, Target sells tens of thousands of different items, and, its not like every employee is familar with the band.

I agree that the employees should be a bit more up to speed, but some people seem to have wild expectations here!
