Long time listener/First time caller

I've been a fan for 18 years and a fan club member for awhile and this is my first post so a couple of things:

1. It amazes me to hear complaining about the lack of diversity on set lists. I would challenge anyone to find another band that will play 50 plus different songs over the course of 2 shows. Won't happen!

2. The concern about Backspacer. Between The Fixer and Got Some, you've got two great live songs and from what I've heard of The End and Just Breathe you've got two relevant songs that stop me dead in my tracks every time I've heard them.

Go find another band that still writes relevant songs after 18 plus years and is still the greatest live band in the world. Won't happen!! I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion but have a little perspective!

See you in LA!!

we're the kind of fan base that is really appreciative even though we complain a lot and ask for too much...we all realize deep down how grateful we are to have such a fan-friendly band/fan club, even though it does seem like we take it for granted...though one thing we don't take for granted is the fact that they respect our freedom of speech and allow us to criticize during our moments of disapointment...

i generally try to steer away from complaining, but when i think i have a really good point, i'll say something

Arghgh, here we go again. Someone, again, complaining about the posts that complain about the complaining.

Welcome to the board. Been a fan for 18 years myself and went to my first show in 93. I just started posting around here about three weeks ago. I chalk it up to my excitement for Backspacer. Enjoy the place.

And now we have a post to complain about the people complaining about the posts that are meant to complain about the complainers. ;)

Can I just say that I find these people complaining about the posts that are meant to complain about the complainers a total breath of fresh air and welcome them with open arms. Not enough complaining goes on around here.

Okay so Mr 18 years, we will just have boring ass licking threads for the rest of this band's life then?

People don't give that much shit about setlists, this whole thing is just being blown out of proportion, i dont know anyone who has stopped seeing the band because they keep playing even flow.

Fixer just isn't that good musically, its a great little catchy crowd song but doesn't really do it as something like Got Some.

Nice to see another user on here! There is a little bit too much complaining...

"My seat was two off being dead centre..."

"Why won't Pearl Jam play Lesotho?..."

"They didn't play the excat songs I wanted to hear, they only played 23 out of 25 I like..."

Of course the above is being sarcastic. There's also some really great views and opinions on here. But glad to see the glass is half full already!
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.
