I've said this to others, NZ is the only country in the world that I would consider immigrating to. Particularly the South Island. It's probably because the country and the people are so similar to Canada and to Canadians in a lot of respects, that somehow it just felt like home.
I wish I had had a digital camera or even a decent, non-disposable camera when I had visited. Oh well, at least I have tonnes of amazing memories to accompany the somewhat adequate photos I took

Justam, I love the use of light and shadows in your pictures. Really, really impressive. The pictures just draw you in
Fifthelement, I'm impressed that you noticed that the light was the reason for that picture! The sun was going down and it was causing those hanging leaves to glow and that's what caught my attention.

Here's a picture that's set up like an old painting. Kinda. :geek:
I'm thinking maybe I should go downstairs and try again because I think I could add a few more cliches if I search around the house for props.
Thanks.
this one reminds me of those leafy sea dragons.

Now that you mention dragons, I can almost see a Chinese New Year dragon shape too.

Oooo, I really like the light in this one, especially that little bit of purple sun effect at the top of the bamboo. Very cool
