Hey Krista!!! Wow can you believe it? It is all like a dream. Can't believe how lucky I am that I get to carry this memory with me the rest of my life!!
I was so happy to see you when I made it down there after talking to you at the pre-party. Things worked out well for you after all.
I am sure that I will be seeing you at a show soon!! I am working on a Portland thing right now but need a lot to fall into place. If not next year. Take care till next time my friend!!!!!0 -

I know, I know, I know!!! I litterally cried like a girl when I found out. Okay, I am a girl, but whatever. LOL
I am trying to work out SLC and Seattle right now. Philly is going to happen--have tickets for Night 1, and might try to work some some out for Night 2. We'll see...
Maybe there will an Atlanta next year...wink, wink. You take care!!!I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

Almost the exact same thing happened to me last year, but for Stone Temple Pilots. Nowhere near the excitement, BUT, I got the tickets off the website the day of the show and they were row B, A being the first row. I kept walking up thinking that AA would be row 1. But we passed it and kept walkikng closer and closer, passing most security who asked to see our tickets over and over. Ending up down front row 2 dead center. Of course Pearl Jam vs STP is a weak comparison but the show was still pretty damn good. And being that close only made it that much better. It's always the best when you have no idea your gonna be as close as you are until you get to your seat. That's why I love Pearl Jam shows 10Club ticketing system. It's like the winning the lottery everytime, you know your seats are gonna be great, but how great? 10C is pretty awesome too!
Here's hoping I can get that close tomm. in S.F. since it's GA w/ thousands!

amazing story!
out of curiousity, do you know what bottle of wine it was?
cheers,

Been kicking myself for not checking it. I always wondered since I love red wine what kind or from what vineyard he drinks from. It was just so unexpected and happened so fast that I forgot to check. The second time he passed it to someone else first and then came back to me. Maybe one of them are on here and checked? I would love to know if anyone has any info.0

To those concerned about the texting...GET A FUCKING GRIP! Did that effect your show experience...really?
-Im so psyced for you bro! Glad I could kick it with you after the show at Dingers...I had a lot of fun! I hope some one turns in your wallet. Are you going to Philly? If so...see you on Halloween!J.A. Baker0 -
Fantastic story! Congrats on the lottery and happy belated birthday. It's always so wonderful to hear stories like this.
And to those seeing the text comment as a criticism of the story, relax. There is no need to get hostile. The people who made those comments stated that they were "old." Perhaps they just don't relate to the texting thing. You know different strokes :?Hell, some of us (and by that, I mean me), don't even have cell phones :?
Again congrats to the OP and to Kcherub. I wish . . . that I am as lucky as you guys in Seattle."What the CANUCK happened?!? - Esquimalt Barber Shop0 -

Listen Gandhi...Please don't confuse a "caps lock" comment with hostility. We live in a technological world. If you don't have a cell phone...good for you! I saw much more cameras in front of me taking pictures and recording streams of video than I did people texting on their phones. And that didn't bother me. If people feel it's important enough to want to block my view for a few seconds and capture a memory...all the power to them. I just think it's funny that people would even mention being bothered by a text. It's kind of ridiculous...and I say to those people: stay home in your caves!J.A. Baker0 -
Quite simply a great story.
I've seen 2 PJ gigs and got Long Road opening on both of them.
I'd like to think that the whole band would have been glad to know that such great seats end up going to appreciative folks like yourself. After the song (Even Flow) Eddie Vedder said, “We have to play that song every night otherwise Mike McCready will f*cking kill somebody”

I know, I know, it's my very first post on this site ever, but I couldn't resist.
The wine was from Trey Busch at Sleight of Hand Cellars in Walla Walla, Washington. It was a bottle of his fall release this year (look out for it, he sells out fast)
I had some the night before the show and it is was incredible!!!
What an phenomenal birthday present.
Happy Belated B-Day
Cheers!0 -
Thanks for the info. I don't care if it is your 1st or 1000th it is greatly appreciated! I just got done checking out their web site. I am assuming you are talking about the wine that comes out oct. 1st. Seems to be the only one they have coming up. I am considering joining their wine club but at the least I am going to try to order a couple bottles. Thanks again.0

That is so cool!!!! Congrats on your seats!!
So do you remember me and my sister? I was so excited all I remember was the 2 girls behind me on my right and the guy next to me with the ear plugs. Oh yea and when I was leaving walking down the row there were two guys standing in front of where Mike plays. One of them looked exactly like him only 10yrs younger. I kept telling the guys if you see the band tell them I said thank you. They just looked at me and smiled. They must have thought I was nuts.Post edited by boxorbag on0 -
So you are the A-hole who won the lottery instead of me! And now you come on to throw it in my face you son of a ..... just kidding. Awesome story! On your birthday no less.0

That is funny. I got the same exact thing from some fans from Peoria at the pre-party. It was funny because they were talking about how I asked them what tickets they had first and then I dropped the bomb!! It was all in good fun. They were making up all these creative ways I could go around shoving it in peoples faces. We were LOAO for about 20min. I love meeting all the personalities. One of my favorite things about this band is the other fans. For the most part. lol0

I was pretty drained. I think I lost about a gallon of sweat. Wasn't messed up or anything. I was so excited and couldn't believe what just happened to me.0

Wow! It sounds like an amazing experience! I just saw Ed on Maui where I livve after living in Seattle for 2 years. My husband ran into Mike M on Broadway St. one day while we were there. It was amazing to see Ed in such a small venue as I did here on Maui but nothing like what you experienced...0

That is so cool... i just saw Ed live at a tiny venure on Maui that it felt like he was in my living room but he didnt know i was there. He had his funky lyric case with him w/ the Easy Street Reocors sticker. Classic EV. Stuff from his Into the Wild and also PJ songs... too much.0
