Thought I found a steal on eBay a few weeks back when I picked up a lot of 7 PJ posters for about $30 with shipping. 6 of them were record store posters, but I noticed in the top right corner of the tiny pic that one was a Phili 2000 (a print I have been looking for for a while)...in fairness to the Seller they disclosed some tape marks, etc. in the description but after weeks of anticipation, the posters arrived destroyed :( scuffed, dinged, scratched and smelling of smoke. Also hanging about 1/8th out of the tube which was sealed with tinfoil (?) - I don't think it can be salvaged. Oh well, if it sounds too good to be true...

sorry to hear that. sounds like you have a strong case to file a complaint with eBay and/or Paypal (hopefully you paid with a credit-card),...

If it was not shipped/sealed properly you definitely have a case you can make with ebay.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

The only truth I know is you.

i was thinking along the lines of filing a complaint that the poster was received "not as described",...

  • If you payed via paypal, I would pursue getting your money back. I am 3 for 3 with Paypal complaints, they are quite fast at getting a response. And if you place a complaint through Paypal, they usually give you a date of resolution, if the seller does not respond by the date of resolution they usually will pass a judgement in your favor.

for anyone that cares....Never buy anything off of Ebay or Expresso Beans without using Paypal, although they hit you up with some fees, it is well worth it for the protection you receive. Almost got burned a few times, if not for Paypal, I would have been out a lot of dough....peace...

Thanks for all the advice and guidance - I will contact PayPal - in a way I feel badly for the Seller, I was expecting the print to be somewhat "imperfect" once he mentioned there were "tape marks" (as that somehow may be indicative of a certain lack of care :) but this stuff it pretty much only suitable as wrapping paper.
