Case could be made they are the greatest hp hop group to ever exist. A very good case.

Certainly, their heydey of 36 chambers and Wu Tang Forever, are two of the best records ever made.

Even in the late 90's and into the 2000's, with most of hip hop concerned with bling, cars, and girls, the Wu made records that were consistently dark, almost stream of conciousness rhymes about their exploits in Shoalin Land.

I think they continue to be medicine for a tired public, a public sick and tired of diamonds, rims and scantily clad women.

Very much a group that walks to beat of their own drummer.

In terms of lyrics and rhymes, very few groups top this group.

Wu-Tang has been my all-time favorite hip-hop group since 93. So much so that I've got just about every members solo releases, which is not a small collection by any measure.

Their last two group albums really didn't measure up to the Wu standard, but Chamber Music seems to be a return to form.

On a side note, Ghostface Killa is probably the best rapper still slinging CD's right now. He doesn't get the respect from the critics that Kayne and Jay-Z get, but I believe that he would wipe the stage with 'em.
    It's all about the music...

He's one of the few whose albums I own. Ironman, Supreme Clientele, and Fishscale are better than any collective Wu releases other than 36 chambers. I honestly don't really care for the rest of the Wu catalogue, way too much filler. Liquid Swords is awesome, but outside that, never got into the solo stuff of anyone but Ghost.

Raekwon's first album is solid. Of course, Ghost is on damn near every track.

Yeah, Cuban Linx is alright, but I always thought it a bit overrated. It's nothing Wu hadn't done as well elsewhere.
