Backspacer release date..20th or 18th???

I read on wikipedia that it is 20th September, however on the television commercials here in Australia advertising the concert, it also promotes the new album and says out 18th September.

Which is it?

I hope it is the 18th! Go to my favourite music store straight after work on a Friday to buy it!

    Release dates vary depending on which country you live in. Albums get released on Mondays here in the UK, whereas they get released on Tuesdays in the US. Not sure what your release day is in Australia.

    I think Friday, I remember buying Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown on Friday which was that albums release day.

    In the US the release date is the 20th, which is a Sunday...that's one of the reasons I preordered mine from the 10c...I'm 100% confident that I will have it in my hands on saturday the 19th...

    It does seem a bit weird to release on a Sunday, but then I guess they can make the rules up since it's not a conventional record label release over in the US.

    Release dates in Ireland are on Fridays - we should technically have it before everyone else on the 18th :D

    This just convinced me to make the pre-order...my bet would also be the 10c having it in our hands prior to the official release date. Also, the fact that the 10c version appears to be packing different "extras" than the target version, I might as well do both!
