Why Are Those with VIP Passes such....

Douche Bags?
I noticed at the EV solo shows as well as tonight..
They act as if they were always last picked for the teams in grammar school gym class, and now that they know someone who got them a backstage / vip pass, they think they're the secret service...
Many of them have such a cocky attitude...

A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.

Maybe they actually WERE the last ones picked for gym class... and got into music, instead of sports... and hung out with other musicians... some of whom had emmense talent... who play to sold out sports venues... where the jock (frat-boy larvea) have to pay scalpers 300 bucks a pop to see the people they picked on in high school... and picked last in grammar school gym class.
Maybe.
Hail, Hail!!!
That's what i'm thinking... Perhaps that's why they can't hold a conversation without giving a cocky attitude..

I agree... because frat boys aren't cocky at all.
Hail, Hail!!!
These frat boys & backstage pass holders are cocky and stuck-up! ( Not all of them, but the ones I've observed)

I think my internet connection gives the impression that I am a jock... For fear of this, let me say fuck frat boys, fuck jocks, fuck cocky people, fuck people with attitude, and fuck people who can't be respectful because they are "too good for you."
God bless us all. God bless ya babe. Say a prayer. Good luck in the future

Sometimes they already KNOW the band... they have Eddie and his family over for dinner or a backyard barbecue... or go to the McCready's pad on the 4th of July. So, when their friends swing by for a gig... and offer up free passes... where there's plenty of free food and booze... they go... who wouldn't.
The fact is you don't know... because you aren't back there.
Hail, Hail!!!
Yes, you are correct. But why are many of them unfriendly & snobbish when it comes to interacting with those of us who were bred with lower quality genetic material?

No one is talking about genetics. It's nothing to do with anything other than they may know Eddie and we don't. That's all.
And what do we say about ourselves when we judge them as douchebags or snobs when we don't know them? We don't like to be judged by people who don't know who we are, right? How is our doing the same to them any different?
Hail, Hail!!!
I agree with you. Personally, it doesn't bother me to be judged by another person, unless it interferes with the safety of my life.
Regarding those I called snobs / douche bags, I based my judgments on my interactions with them.

Maybe the problem isn't that it's difficult to hold a conversation with them, but that it's difficult to hold a conversation with obsessive fans that hang around after shows hoping to have a band member look at them and acknowledge their existence. Maybe they're not cocky at all. Maybe they just seem that way because meeting the band is not a big deal to them as opposed to the biggest event of their summer.
I had quite the opposite experience with 2 people in toronto with vip/all access passes (through live nation)
They worked for live nation - hence the passes. I was in a row that seemed to be a walkway through the section - there was a lot of room between my row and the one in front. I didn't notice they had passes at first when they "snuck" into my section (plenty of room, not the only people to do it) - and stood behind me as I was standing closer to the row in front of me. They kindly asked, "hey do you mind if we stand here" Not being a problem to me or anyone behind me I said, sure, enjoy the show!
At the encore break I turned around just to see if they were enjoying their new "seats" and noticed the passes. I casually asked about them - sure you can call it jealousy - but I had asked if they had ever seen PJ before - and to my surprise - they said no....which made me want to turn around to see their enjoyment after every song starting at the first encore....everytime I did...they were just completely stunned and ecstatic. It was great. And after Alive - they were about to leave, until they asked, "wait a second - they're NOT done!?!?!" I said, no way buddy - it just keeps on coming.
All in all - they had a fantastic time, and so did I.
People with passes can be cool!
