Is not a reference.....people I know you're smarter than that, I'm sure there are more creditable sources besides the Daily Show.....I like to watch it too, its funny stuff, but its no more legit than the Factor.

Drifting comes up with sources all the time.....I'm sure a little homework couldn't hurt.

You STILL don't get what anyone here is saying... and only focus on what you see on T.V.
Yes... there are comedy bits on the Daily Show... it is a parody of the fiasco that is broadcast as news into our homes... and they are funny.
    BUT...
John Bolton is a REAL person... William Kristol is a REAL PERSON... Betsy McCanaghey IS A REAL PERSON. They are not actors playing characters in comedy bits... they are real people who were former U.N. Ambassadors... heads of P.N.A.C. and chief editors of the Weekly Standard... and former Lt. Governors of New York who claim that there are Death Panels described in House Bill HR 3200.
    ...
All we are asking YOU to do is READ H.R. 3200 and tell us where McCanghey is right. That's all.
Now... you do YOUR homework and read HR 3200, Sec. 1233 and tell us where the Death Panels are... where the mandatory consultations are... and where the penalties to doctors is.
    ...
Or are you not capable of navigating that website?
If you want... I will cut and paste the entire section... so, it will be more like a Cliff Note on the subject. Do you need me to do that for you?

Who said anything about Death Panels? I don't believe the Right Wing propaganda machine on that or the Death Book that they claim to be waving around. Its all lies pushed upon Fox News viewers by Bill O'Reilly, Rush, and these ridiculous Representatives that we have in Congress. Oh, and Sarah Palin. I agree with you. We should all take responibility for this country and do our homework on this stuff.

I think this is where OffHeGoes goes off the road and into the ditch...
McCanghey is the hinge pin to this whole Heatlh Care Town Hall gun stroking screamfest. She is the one who came up with the whole 'Death Panel' crap in the first place.
Sarah Palin threw gasoline on the fire by quoting McCaghey, without doing what politicians are supposed to do and read the actual house bill.
Talk radio... specifically, Right Wing talk radio and their television counterpart, Fox News, ran with it without doing their part... as they claim to be journalists... and verify the statements McCanghey made are based in fact.
People listening to the radio or watching their t.v.s hear this and take what is being said as fact because it is on a television station that has the word, 'News' right in the title and bring their guns to the town hall meetings and scream so no one else can be heard. They should have read the bill to verify that the McCanghey claims were true.
    ...
McCanghey goes on the Daily Show to defend her position and possibly convince others by bringing the House Bill to the interview.
Jon Stewart asks her to point out the part that describes the Death Panels. McCanghey cannot and does what a typical politician does... double-speak and avoids the question altogether. The exchange is caught on videotape and placed on the web for all to view.
    ...
OffHeGoes dismisses the McCanghey interview because it was on the Daily Show... a sarcastic parody on the news America bases its opinions on.
OffHeGoes logic is.... since it is on the Daily Show... is is invalid as viable news... because it is a comedy show.
(OffHeGoes can correct me here if I'm wrong... i can only base it on what he has posted)
By discrediting what McCanghey says on the Daily Show... it somehow makes the Death Panel arguement valid.
    ...
Cosmo posts explicit directions to the Library of Congress website where the actual text can be found so we can all read it and get down to the truth of the matter.
OffHeGoes maintains that The Daily Show is not a reference source.
    ...
Cosmo walks to the wall and bangs his forehead on it 3 times because he cannot believe there are people out who employ that type of logic.

    Cosmo.....relax

Yes, the interviews are very real, but the direction he takes them is clearly a left bias.

There are other sources out there.

You know not every one has to agree with you? Just a crazy thought.....

Just pointing out the sequence of events.
Jon Stewart was asking her to point out the facts in the Bill... looking for facts and truth, not made up shit and false allegations. If this is 'Left Leaning Bias'... doesn't that make 'Right Leaning Bias' make-believe and lies?
Again... read the Bill and point out where MCanghey is right... and I promise, I'll drop it.
    ...
And by the way... i'm not asking you (or anyone else) to agree with me.. i'm asking you to check out the FACTS on your own and come to your own conclusions. If you DO happen to find the stuff we are talikng about... please, point it out to me because somehow... most likely because the fact is, it does not exist... i missed it.

If Obama came on the 'Daily Show' and revealed his plan to convert America into a Facist Dictatorship...
guess who would be posting the Daily Show as a reference?
    ...
Well... other than you and me and Driftin' and Commy and everyone else who is not adherent to a political party's ideology.
