MY Do Not Play List.. break songs

there might be songs i skip on a cd but in no way do i leave for any song at a show ... maybe if i saw a gazillion shows but they don't come around enough and every song live is an exchange i'm not really interested in missing ...

I peed during 1/2 Full in Toronto . . . . only song I could think of to do so . . . . got back in time to see the great ending with Ed shining the light off his guitar though . . .

I s'pose I could have peed during I Am Mine, but it's just long enough for a pee break :? And I thought about going during Wishlist, as I am not a huge fan of the song, but I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did . . . it was a great version. So I only had the one break all concert long.

Plus lots of people try to go during the encore . . so it doesn't save much time...

I never really disliked them playing any song in particular. However, when I heard Wishlist in Toronto, I really felt nothing. I wouldnt be too upset if I never heard the song live again.

I wasn't too chuffed when I heard Green Disease at Wembley in 07, for me there's only about four or five listenable songs from Riot Act and that isn't one of them in my opinion. Was a bit disappointed they ended the 02 show with Ledbetter too, as I heard it excatly seven days previously at Shepherd's Bush.

But I have said before in posts, if you go to a PJ gig with a pre-determined setlist in your head, you will be disappointed. Just go, enjoy the show and try not to have too much beer before so you can embrace it all and not the urinals!

God's Dice? That song is just a lot of fun live. I'd just take ATB and God's Dice off your list and add Wishlist, Green Disease, and Get Right.

Nothingman and I Got Id are much better on the CD in my opinion as well.

i dont get it, i mean, for example, ive heard black loads of times on cds, bootlegs, internet etc, but i cant imagine leaving during a live show to go for a piss. a pearl jam show is about 2.5 hrs long, i am more than happy to hold on and go after the concert than miss a song. if they played a song i disliked (evacuation, cropduster, even sweet lew), or heard all the time (even flow, alive, DTE), id still want to be there!! its not like i see them everyday, and after ive had to save up for the whole expericence!! but each to their own i guess.... :?

also, to those that do have a piss break song, why is it? is it that youve heard the song so many times? or just dont like it? i cant understand the 'i hate last kiss' comments, ok, you may not like it much, but hate it? seems a bit strong. its a good simple song, 4 chords, but the band enjoy playing when they do

there's not a song I really don't like hearing live. I've heard some of the standards so much that sure, they're on the bottom on my "must hear" list but I don't really believe in a list of songs I'd never want to hear again. I've been listening to this band from the getgo, I've seen them a dozen times which is really only a drop in the bucket. I understand people have different preferences, but I take each opportunity that I get to see those boys up there as they present it to me. I soak it in because I know they can't do this forever. And when that day comes, you better believe we'll all wish we had one more chance to hear Even Flow live one more time.


and as to peeing at a show, the only times I've done that were when I was very pregnant. you can't help it then! In regards to drinking at a show, if you need to get shitfaced in order to enjoy Pearl Jam, you're at the wrong damn concert.

i cant explain why i hate Last Kiss.i just do.and no hate is not too strong a word.i really do hate it.

i'm glad the band enjoy playing it,but did they HAVE to put it on RVM and Lost Dogs?

i hate it so much my children know when to skip it to stop me pulling the shower curtain down,sliding across the bathroom floor,running into the front room with a towel dangeling round me,hiting myself on the cabinet,and pushing the forward button while running the risk of electricution from wet hands, or any of the other mad dashes i have done from various parts of my home during various tasks to avoid that song.
