2008, a great year...

Just wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to the band for an amazing year. Just think about the accomplishments thus far (and it is only 1/2 over):

-Ed releases Into the Wild to critical praise. Wins a Golden Globe award (irrespective of whether or not he even cares)
-Ed embarks on his first solo tour. Safe to say the "experiment" was a huge success
-PJ does a small spring/summer tour...Sets and intensity level are insane - PJ blows everyone else off the stage at Bonaroo - band reworks and reintroduces some long lost songs and Lost Dogs back into the sets (WMA, Who You Are, All Night, original Garden...)
-PJ plays The Who VH1 Rock Honours and is far and away the best band to play (including The Who)

Still have eV solo east coast leg to look forward to, maybe some VFC shows and we know they'll be in the studio in the Fall.

I love this band and couldn't be happier with the year so far.

Has the work lived up to everyone else's expectations?

    i agree, great year.........but into the wild was released in 2007

    Along with the PJ East Coast tour, this made 2008 all the better.

    2005 Tor was awesome. It was nice to see Bono and Ed rock out together! First time I was in Tor what an awesome city!

    Me too!! At least we still have the front man for a month or so.... They need to do a full all out 5 years straight gig. I'm starting a new thread!!!!!!!!!!
