will TC tickets always be better than ticketmasters?
I'm seeing all these topics about the shitty tickets TC members are getting and now im beginning to get a bit worried. I'm just wondering if the TC tickets will always be better than ticketmaster or if i should just try to get ticketmaster tickets because i have a high tenclub number.

They usually are, but it's never guaranteed.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -
get 10C seats... then try the public onsale. the day of the show, go to get your 10c tickets and keep the better pair and sell the extras for face.0

That's probably good advice, if you're overly concerned with seat location.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -

That is way to smart for this board :roll:0 -
no.
especially if you are willing to wait it out and buy tix the day of, and/or if you are willing to buy a single ticket. also, certain shows, such as philly 10.31, 10c outright stated that since they got a larger than usual allotment, higher 10c#'s seats will be similar to general sale tix. so sure, as jeff said....they usually are, bot definitely not always, especially if you have a 200xxx or higher 10c #, and most especially, depending on what city you are seeing the band, how many shows in that city/vicinity....and how many shows they are playing, period. all comes into play.
oh and i hate having extra tix, having to see tix, etc. the one time my friend and i both got tix, we ended up giving the tix to a another friend, gratis....another time just gave one ticket away, period. this is why usually, i almost always simply use my own 10c tix, and make sure i have someone to use my spare. doesn't always work out like that, but that's usually the way i go. far esier that way.Stay with me...

and yes singles are the way to get the best seat. after all.... are you there to hold hands with 3 buddies or see the band?

some of my BEST times at concerts have been with a GREAt friend, and sure...with my husband. sometimes, it's much more important WHO you are with rather than simply WHERE you are at. that said, i've thoroughly enjoyed great seats....and rocked crap seats.....but both are better with good company.

Wouldn't the answer to this question depend on your 10c member number?0

I thought that 10C tix were better than TM tix, but yesterday learned this is definitely not the case. If you are a newer member (2 years or sooner), you are probably better off with ticketmaster.0

that and where you are seeing them, more than anything. i know quite a few people who have scored seats within the first 10 rows, single tickets, day of the show. obviously, if you are always within the first say 5 rows, you know you're always good as long as you actually score 10c tix and won't flip out if you are in row 7 instead of row 5. i think most of us realize the OP is not one of those people, otherwise...he or she wouldn't even ask this question, no?Stay with me...

Dont forget with 10c tickets, there is always a chance you can win the lottery and end up in the front rows, dont get that chance with TM.0

well yeah but once the show starts i'm focusing on the show and not who i'm with so really it doesn't matter to me if i'm by myself...only after the show does having someone with you at the show help because you can talk about the show...but with this place that doesn't matter much because i can share with all here

Yea, I'm with ya. I pretty much knew the answer to my question but I've seen posts lately that have made me question the reality. Personally, I've never had a seat (in the past 6 or 7 years) worse than 8th row. But started to get a little nervous with posts like the one I'm responding to now (which I'm getting sick and tired of, btw).0 -

I hope you do, win the lottery.
Didn't mean to imply that I was tired of replying to posts like yours. Just the whiner/bitchy posts. And, in all honestly, I really did think I had something to worry about. I have a problem staying tuned in....0 -

It is extremely obvious that something was up last night with a HUGE allotment of Ten Club tickets.
It's all conjecture, but if the LA shows seat 6000, and by most (albeit unconfirmed hearsay) peoples understanding the Ten Club gets 10% of the arena, then let's say that if 30 to 40 people signed up on TouringFans, then 30 to 40 people = 600 seats.
The 1st Chicago show lists 392 people signed up. That is 10X more people. So if that is 6000 seats, then they had nearly 1/3rd to 1/2 of the entire arena.
OF COURSE SOME TICKETS ARE GOING TO SUCK. But for a regular show, I don't think you will have much to worry. Yeah, if you signed up 2 months ago, then they won't be on the floor, or very great on the wings, but I would say 95% of the time Ten Club seats will be better than what you get off of ticketmaster.
Now as for the Chicago show. I'm sure Ten Club worked some magic to get as many seats as they did. Of course the venue didn't give them ALL of the best seats.
They got the normal 10 club allotment of good seats, then some ok seats, mixed in with TM sections, then some bad seats.
Everything went according to plan with one exception. Ten Club neglected to tell people that there would be some upper deck seats for fan club members with 300,000 and 400,000 numbers.
They didn't manage expectations. They learned their lesson and made sure to tell people going to the Halloween show that some seats will not be great.
And for the sake of making this post longer.
I will reiterate. The CHICAGO show was not typical.
I would suggest you continue to buy Ten Club seats in the future if you want better seats than what TM will yield you.

Mama mia!!! Didn't somebody post here that had a 400,000 10club number said something that he/she alway's got the first 20 row's @ a 10club show? I doubt you would get the first 20th row, even the lower bowl seating @ Chicago Night 1 or Chicago Night 2. :shock:0 -

Thanks.
Check out this feature of touring fans .net.
They track the order numbers and then from the earliest order number they have, to the latest they can figure out how many orders. Looks like Chicago had at least 6000 seats.
Min Order Nb: 795,231
Max Order Nb: 801,141
* Approx Seats Sold: 5,910
LA 1 is much lower, but also leaves more room for error, if people are not entering their order number.
Min Order Nb: 829,333
Max Order Nb: 829,469
* Approx Seats Sold: 136
