No I'm just kidding, my girlfriend and I had 2nd row last night. Such a good vibe down there, besides the few snobs that wanted more Lost Dogs.

The number of songs is irrelevant, but anyway its a similar bunch.

I just can't believe they played Of The Girl in the states and not in Europe, makes me sad.

Why is it such a problem for people to want to hear songs that aren't played EVERY show such as Even Flow, Given to Fly, Small Town, Corduroy, Alive, Black, Daughter, etc, etc... and why aren't the fans who just want to hear those songs snobs for not wanting the band to play other things they've recorded over the years?

I personally would kill to hear more Lost Dogs/B-Sides stuff at these shows. I thought last night's set was really good for my personal tastes, but I could see some others thinking it was more bland. I personally loved hearing Long Road, Sad, Smile, In Hiding, Rats, 3 new songs, 2 who covers, etc... and I must admit I was thrilled they didn't play Black, Jeremy, Crazy Mary, Daughter.

have no fear you"ll get most of those tonight plus Even Flow and GTF again and of course the endless headache DTE-

I want more diverse setlists also, but I must say last night would be a hard one to complain about.

Peal Jam plays to the masses not the select few that know every word to every song they have ever written. Most of the arena has no clue about any Lost Dogs/B Sides and would be really disappointed if they didnt play their most popular songs.

That is a funny thing to say after last nights set list. What a perfect show for any fan.
  • say what you will, but Black is my favorite song ever (not just Pearl Jam, but anyone). I will be sorely disappointed if they don't play it tonight. I am also really hoping to hear Elderly Woman...

That's true to a point. Pearl Jam is one of the few bands that really 'lives' off an extremely loyal fanbase and not on 'radio hits' like many popular bands do.

My point is just that for each person that says 'I can't believe they didn't play Jeremy' there's a person wishing they had played In My Tree or something else that's not crazy obscure but not played every night.

I was really happy with the setlist last night and tonight I fully expect to hear Black, Daughter, Crazy Mary, Elderly Woman, Alive, Why Go, Even Flow.... I just hope the songs that are not those are at least mixed really good so we get a few surprises.

If anyone complains that PJ's set list aren't diverse enough, then they have never followed any other band on tour, ever.

And that's a really, really, really good point - PJ is the only band I'll hit more than one show of on a tour for that reason alone.

God, i think im making myself out to look like i hate every song that i have heard before.... I was just bummed not to hear Of The Girl because Binaural is my most favourite album ever and for those you look at setlists they very very very very rarely play songs off it. Thus is just sucked to not hear it over here haha

Im sorry Canadians, i really did mean NA! Just on Europe and NA mode and just forgot to think where they actually played in NA..

Exactly. If you follow any other act, you're lucky to hear 1 or 2 different songs per show. Sure, there are a few bands that are exceptions to that rule, but they are few and far between. If you go to two back to back PJ shows, you'll probably hear 5 or 6 repeats, heck, maybe even 10, but over half the show will usually be different, and thats pretty much unheard of.

I think they meant for back-to-back shows. i would kill for that, and PJ could do it without alienating fans who are there for just greatest hits.

Split up these songs into two groups and play 1 group on night 1 and 1 on night 2. Then mix in whatever else...

    Alive
    Black
    Even Flow
    Daughter
    Elderly Woman
    Corduroy
    Better Man
    Given to Fly
    Do The Evolution

But still - they do a pretty good job as it is...

i went to my first PJ gig expecting either loads of songs i didnt know off the new album,or none of the less well known ones that i loved.i was really plesently suprised that they mixed around so much.its all cool.i am burning setlists of all the shows really they are amazing listening.

i am bored of whinging,i am bored of whinging about whinging,i am bored of whinging about whinging about whinging.is there no happy compromise to be found for anyone?

there are a lot worse things you all could be doing of an evening then watching PJ from the god seats, playing a couple of songs you dont like.and there are worse things people could be saying here then complaining about sitting in the god seats watching PJ playing a couple of songs they dont like.

its all going round and round in circles here.seriously is there not more to this board then endless recycled arguments and smart arse replies?

and while i'm adding my 2 cents in,why the hell do you all have to have the same Av's?god damn thats confusing.
