Here is an extraordinary look at what our children's, children's, children future could possibly be...

The music is by Sigur Ros, the most emotional music I have ever heard.

Thought it might belong in Other Music, but the message was too important not to put it on the MT.

Please watch with tissue.

  • I hope we don't all turn Arctic Circle white. Bleah, that would be boring! But if everyone lived indoors, they would lose pigment over the generations. That's how Europeans became pale-skinned: As the human diaspora moved north, people wore clothing to protect themselves from cold. With covered skin, not enough sunlight was being absorbed to make vitamin D. Skin needed to get maximum sunlight, so it quickly lost most of its melanin. That way, even exposing just hands and faces was adequate to make vitamin D.

    Yeah,
and Chinese are Yellow with thin eyes... they look at the sun every time it rises.
And Africans are Black and have big haircuts... because they have the sun on their head allday.
And NATIVE AMERICANS red skinned because the sun goes down at that side of the globe...

  • the genius of sigur ros.

i remember back when i first heard this, i thought it was incredibly sad but at the same time beautiful. it really moves me when i hear it, no matter how many times i listen to it. everyone will interpret it differently, but for me, i saw the innocence of the children. still laughing, playing, having fun, irrespective of the environment and what is happening around them.

Yes, that is what was so beautiful/horrible about it. I really would like to buy one of their albums, but I'm afraid the music is a bit too emotional for me. Genius as it is...
