8/23/09 concert @ Uiited center

Ok, I'm here & I know there were a lot of fan club tix sold, but section 309, really!? I know I could of gotten better tix thru a tix broker, doesn't that go against PJ philosophy? I guess I'll pull out my binoculars, I would have paid $500. Tix to be on the floor, still love you Eddie!

It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
I'm guessing this incident is really going to deter people from rolling the dice on 10C and traveling to shows. I've been going to concerts for 30 years, and after a few shows on the upper deck in big arenas, I decided it wasn't worth it. I'd rather not be there than endure that. I passed on the Stones, Aerosmith and several other bands because I didn't want to waste my time with seats like that, and those were local concerts.
And for everyone calling people 'whiners', tell me honestly that you would not have been pissed. The sound at that level in the back really, really sucked. So in addition to basically having to watch the show on a video screen, you couldn't hear it well enough to even enjoy the sound.
I'm sure it was a great concert. I wouldn't know, because what I saw and heard sucked.
Hey, come on, there were people from all over the country that came to this show. It's not just Chicago 10c members that are whining, so please don't blame us.
But, our friends bailed and we ended up having 2 extras.
Before I left for Chicago, I had contact info from different 9 people from this Board in case my friends couldn't make it - every single one of them passed on the pair at face when they found out they were in section 311.
I don't blame them, but what the hell was I suppose to do know with a pair of tickets and only a couple of hours to sell them at face when ebay and craigs were selling below for better seats?
Luckily, I ran into two fine gentlemen in my hotel who were looking for two, else I'm sure I would've been stuck with them as I didn't see anybody buying tickets on the way in.
There should be a better way - maybe you could put the tickets back into a 10club only day of sale pot for people who can't make it or decide they don't like the seats. Stops 10clubbers from scalping as well.
At the same time you have to take the hand you're dealt and make the best of it.
I would have been disappointed as well. The whole reason we are in the 10 club is so we get a better hand dealt to us.
BUT!!!!
I have never traveled 1000 miles to a show, and then ended up in the 3rd to last row of the fucking arena..
I have always gotten great seats, side seats, floor seats.....
Had I traveled 1000 miles, paid for hotel, and then opened my ticket envelope, and realized I was in the 2nd to last row of the arena......
I might have vomited on myself........
Then I would have just dealt with it....and enjoyed the rest of my weekend....
But ill be honest....My initial reaction would have been...............
Vomiting on myself....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
This is the only guy I've ever met.....
Who likes ellipsis more than I do....
True story....
