If nothing else, one gets a unique Mike solo to listen to each and every time ... Much like Evenflow.
Has he stopped tagging it with the Star-Spangled Banner? That seemed to be his thing in 2006 and 2008, and it got a little old.
I liked 2000 better, when he'd try to tag it with "Hair Metal Hits of the 80s"
Agree on the 2000 point ... I think my favorite was that Zep song from Jones Beach 3, Over the Hills and Far Away? Awesome.
And to answer your question, no.
My favorite was in Philly (I think), when he tried to tag "Crazy Train." It was awesome in its terribleness. You could actually hear the gears turning in Mike's head as he went along: "How the hell am I supposed to get back to the familiar Yellow Ledbetter riff from THIS?!?"
Eventually, he just stopped abruptly with the Ozzy and went back to the YL main riff. It was the exact opposite of "seamless."
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do
great show everyone. a unique set with great diversity.
thanks to the relayers. never followed a show so close and will def try the 'listen as i go' idea tomorrow night after work. sure is better than rotting in front of the tv!
can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow cause you KNOW they will top this!
mike
But when you click on it, it says that it is not available in the US store. :?
You probably still viewing the Aussie store. Log in and it will take you to the right place.
I'm logged in to the US store and go to Pearl Jam's page. They show the album art and show the title The Fixer Single but when you click on it, it says "Your Request Could Not Be Completed - The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store" Might be because I'm on the west coast and it's not past midnight out here yet.
I'm glad I held out to see them in LA at a 6,000 capacity venue.. I would be alittle let down to travel to Chicago for this setlist.. especially if my seats sucked... :geek: Pretty plain except for "Needle & the Damage".. Just sayin'..

I'm getting the same "not available in the US store" for the Fixer single, but got the Fixer video for free, just fine. About what that video's worth.
I don't think I'm going to buy the Fixer single anyway. I just tried to click on it to make sure there wasn't a b-side available (in '06, you could buy WWS & Unemployable together when they were first on itunes). First Pearl Jam single I will have not bought before the album release in 10+ years. But I've heard it enough to feel like I can wait till 9/20.

This particular song bears particular importance to the city of Chicago, to Chicago Stadium fans (more currently the United Center) and most specifically to Chicago Blackhawks fans.

With the Hawks recent success, the roar has returned to the United Center. Thus my point.
Yeah, I definitely thought of that as he played it.
