JetBlue flight cancelled! What a fiasco!

So, I was attempting to fly out of JFK to Chicago this morning, but when we got to the airport, they told us our flight was canceled due to the hurricane. This seemed odd, because it was sunny in NYC and was supposedly sunny in Chicago. The people at JetBlue were so freaking nasty and didn't seem to be interested in helping us at all. The next flight to Chicago was at 8:30 PM, but no seats were left. My blood was boiling at this time!!

To make a long story short, after negotiating with JetBlue for what seemed like hours, they decided to get us on a flight early tomorrow morning. I also had to negotiate with Priceline and the Hyatt in Chicago to re-arrange our dates, which seemed to take a few more hours.

I was planning on only going to Chicago 1 and then coming home on Monday night, but now we extended our stay till Tuesday and I just bought tickets for Chicago 2. So, after a living hell today, I get to see PJ another night, plus if all goes well, I'm supposed to be drinking with Eddie Vedder after Sunday's show. Don't ask me how, but if it all works out, I'll be sure to post photos.

Yeah, if it indeed happens, it will surely make up for today's nightmare.

yeah i hope so... when i booked the flight months ago for a good price ($178), i said to myself "if i get delayed, i'm fucked". hopefully it's on time and i'll be all set, arrive in ORD at 11:30, check into the hotel at the airport by 1 and then relax, grab a cab into the city by 3 pm, have a few beers, and get inside to get a poster at 6:30.

Good luck, buddy. I'm supposed to get in at about 11:30 AM, and then going to the White Sox game. Then, the PJ show, which I'm sure will be incredible.

That's why I always take the first flight out going to the destination. Leaving from it, the time doesn't matter.

As a frequent traveler, I advise everyone to avoid JFK as much as possible!

If your flight isn't delayed or canceled, then you are are lucky as hell and should purchase a lotto ticket ASAP!

I was there last week, my flight to Phoenix was canceled. Had to cab it to Newark to catch a flight back.

    Avoid JFK at all costs.
  • I flew from JFK to O'Hare yesterday morning on Delta at 9:10 am. It was a complete mess there and now understand why people are saying to avoid it. I did make it though so I guess I cant complain too much ;)
