My 2 Cents on Ted Leo

So I have seen Ted Leo and the Pharm. open for PJ in Philly and DC. I did not like them, at ALL. That being said there have been opening bands I never heard of and I loved. Not too many people have ever heard of them. And I know I am not the only one that thinks Ted and the Pharm suck.
That being said, you think you wouldn't miss opening up for PJ again. A fantastic chance to try to get your music out to some of the best fans in the world.
How the hell do you do that. The rest of the band and crew seems to have found their way to Toronto, but Mr. Leo can't make it. Why wasn't he with the rest of the band and crew? Why is he traveling alone? I am sure he has traveled outside the US with a passport. How do you leave for the airport without it?
Whenever I travel for something and I need to be there on a date, I get there the day before. Knowing the delays that could be had traveling during the summer.
To me I think it is a big FU to PJ and shows little respect for them and his own band.
Way to go Ted, you made me want to drink some more in the parking lot in the future. :D

    do you know Ted personally? do you know the circumstances surrounding why he forgot his passport? does Ted control the weather? have you ever forgotten something? do you really think that he was trying to miss the gig & saying FU to PJ & their fans? ridiculous post.

    its not a big FU at all to pj, wtf :roll:. maybe he was there with the band at the airport and said go ahead I'll catch the next flight cause of passport problems . also laguardia is a nightmare of an airport even without thunderstorms which were in the area yesterday. what dont know anything really so its really not fair to criticize the guy. he's human, cut the guy a break. this thread was total waste of space. god pj fans will find anything to bitch about.

    No offense to Mr. Leo but I preferred Ed Vedder and the Pharmacists.

    I was pretty drunk walking back from the concert (not hammered, just feeling fine) and said to my buddy:

    "Our new Rock Band band name is "Frank Leo and the Philosophers"

    We both laughed and it will happen :D

    Next time I will make one to complain about the 10C. Since those are so great.

    No I don't no Ted, but I do know about being prepared for something. And yes I do know a lot about the weather and airports and know how not to count on them if I need to be somewhere. But it seems he didn't forget to twitter about his F-Ups.

    P.S. I think the 10C rocks and I have no need to complain about them :D

    I kinda regreated leaving from the seat after Ed's/Mike solo jam's, when Ted Leo was about to come up. Went for drinks, waiting in this huge line. Things were going smooth, when all of a sudden, Ed & the boy's come up and do cover's with The Pharmists. I didn't know anything about Ted Leo not able to pass customs. Was though watching the full set, waiting in line @ the booth, paying for a 4 dollar water & 5/6? dollar hotdog! Mama mia!!! :shock:

    I went to Ireland once, and lost my passport. Luckily, the hotel I was staying at earlier in the week found it.
