Always wondered... How do you get to the benches behind JD in right field?

Well, I have not landed in Chicago, and I never will be for this event. Driving out Sunday morning. Looking to get into town around 3, checking into the Hyatt, pick up my tickets, and then hitting up the pre-party.

But have fun everyone who is already there!! Chi-Town is a cool place!

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

We checked into the Fairmont tonight and staying here through Monday. Loving this weather! Coming from WA I was afraid I was going to fry. :D

Driving in tomorrow evening from STL. Thinking about the Sox game Sunday but not sure will be up for the game, the pre-party, and then the true event. So much to do before we leave and so pumped up, not sure I'm going to sleep.

Got the I-Pod loaded w/ PJ & BR and ready for a fun 5 hour drive!

The picnic benches? They are part of the Bullpen Sports Bar. To get to the Bar, you need to enter at Gate 2 and walk straight ahead, entering the stadium at ground level. You'll see the entrance to the Bar right away. Once inside the Bar, if you go to the counter on your right, across from the main bar, they can set you up with sitting at the picnic tables.

If you already have decent seats, it's probably not worth it, because you do have to pay more to sit there ($15-$20). However, if you have upper deck seats, it's a nice way to upgrade. The tables that I'm talking about are elevated. I believe there are some at ground level as well. I'm not sure what the deal with those are, but if you sit there you'll be looking through the fence all game.

I hoped that helped. I'll be at the game as well. Hopefully, Danks and the Sox can pull out a win.
    I was there...

  • At the best western going to gene and georgettis tonight for some steak!!
    Makes much more sense.................

    In the present tense.
  • I'm driving to Chicago Sunday morning, stopping by the pre-party, going to the Sox game, going back to the pre-party, then going to the show - when to check into the hotel is beyond me. I can't figure out the best way to plan this in terms of my car... Do I go to the Hyatt first and hope they let me park there before the 3pm checkin, take a cab everywhere else? Or go straight to Morrettis, park there and take cab to game then back to Morrettis, see the show then go check in at the Hyatt at midnight and hope they've not released my room??? ... so many options, so many fun things to do. I can't wait!!!
  • I didn't check in until 3AM this morning, I wouldn't worry about the hotel releasing your room!
