hahah. i would only play that song only when i'm trying to take that thing, what do you call it now, that's around the leg's. the part where i have to bend down and reach for something underneath thy woman's skirt, using my teeth. only then, will that song be played. lol.

other songs like throw your arms around me, it's ok, definintly love reign on me (which i love with a passion no woman, man or child believes) .. will be playing at the party for sure.

or .. will have to plan a move, come to seattle, bring all the members of pj back to halifax, for one amazing wedding bash.

    i don't have much time!

ya that spoon thing is fuckin retarded ha ya it worked out good... hope you give it a shot

wedding plan fuckin blows... but atleast i got plan out some cool PJ stuff! ha

I really like your table names idea. I might try and incorporate into the markers we already have ("fun facts" about our life over the years... it's a phrase I overuse, it's a little inside, ha)! I'm sure I could talk him into it... what's one more PJ detail in our wedding?

Wedding planning does suck. I know women are supposed to love it, but it's just annoying! There are so many traditions that I just find cheesy. We're not having a "first dance" together. I just don't think I could get through it with a straight face. I have a hard time with stuff like that! Haha.

our first dance song was "Better Together" by Jack Johnson, i agree about first dances and usually the songs are horribly corny but i thought that was a pretty good choice... "my best man said in his speech that the only other person he has seen make me as happy as she does is Eddie Vedder hhaha" good speech tho... ya the plannin gets annoyin and stressful at a couple different points... but we had a blast at our wedding, it really was just a big party so it worked out...

here is a tip tho... dont leave to early the next morning for a vacation if your goin to one... our flight wasnt till 3pm and is still was too early!

Duh... forgot a major thing... This was my wifes idea... We werent into the idea of 250 people clicking their god damn spoons every 5 minutes just to watch us kiss... So what we did was

REPLACED table numbers with NAMES OF PEARL JAM SONGS>.. HEad table was called STATE OF LOVE N TRUST for example... better man was a table, soldier of love was a table... Long Road was one and so on... Smile...WIshlist...

AFter 1 spoon clicking incident... the DJ announced if you wanna see Joe and Jaime kiss going forward... you have to wave me over and take the MIC and sing at least one live from the song name of your table... IT ROCKED!! Alot of people tried it too which was great... WE got some people singin betterman and soldier of love on video... good stuff and good idea from the WIFE

That is a great idea there. But how did all the tables no lines to all those pj songs?
  • People clink their glasses with spoons when they want you to kiss?!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
  • We used "Thin Air" as our last-dance-of-the-night song. It was tough finding an optimistic slow Pearl Jam song.

And we didn't do the spoon/glass thing either. That was rule #1 from the beginning.

There are a few CDs out there with classical versions to numerous songs..I saw it on Amazon and its called "strung out" or something like that..

'Alive' is fantastic, 'Dissident' + 'Go' are really good too..

our first dance was brad's 'the day brings.' i think it was about perfect. but picking the music (after the band cancelled) was for me the best part of the wedding planning. we also played some ITW at some point, and i think my favorites we snuck in during the dance-party section were nirvana's
'aneurysm' and 'idioteque' by radiohead. only the youngsters liked those...

Well all the tables with our friends knew a line for the most part cause I have a good chunk of friends that are PJ fans... We gave the adult tables betterman and alive and stuff to give them a better chance...

But the adult tables that didnt know a line to whatever song they had and wanted to sing it just asked one of my friends to tell them a line and then they sung it... It was fun... better than SPOON CLICKING for sure
