We did get some Giordano's pizza though...and OH MY GOD!!!
Plus, it is so damn liberating to be able to finally drink a beer with my meal in a restaurant. Blue Moon and a Heineken with some deep dish...it really can't get better can it? Oh wait, yes...PJ tomorrow.

"fifty one fucking dollars????"

Yyyyyep, ain't that some shit?
In a total asshole move on my part, I didn't pay a bunch of tickets before and got a boot put on my car. I went down to the impound lot(the place that's always in the show) and had to go pay a shit load of money. It sucked. I saw the crew walking around with cameras and boom mic's - thank God they didn't record me doing the walk of shame up to the counter.0 -

I love watching that show! How do people live there? Here, in Detroit, its easy to park. That may be due to no one living here anymore...haha!mfc2006 wrote:Danimal wrote:Jearlpam0925 wrote:Philly's so bad they put a fucking TV show on A&E about it. Ridiculous.
Hahaha are you serious? What is it called? I need to watch that chit! Well, maybe I shouldn't. It'll probably make me go balistic!

I've seen that!
We're in Chicago right now, and the parking here is quite shitty as well...
There's a marathon on right now. Brings back bad memories cause I've had my car towed in philly and have been to the lot to get it back. Happened last year. Was in Chinatown (actually the Troc) for a Yeasayer show. Parked on the street, put money in the machine and went inside. Came back out about an hour or so later to put more money in it and my car was missing. First thought that it was either towed or stolen. Decided to call the towing people and it was towed. I had parked in a handicap spot. I didn't see it at first (they had the handicap thing on a tree or something). Had to call a taxi and they took me there. Had to pay a handicap fine and the fee. I'll never forget that. Total was over $300 for that.

Seattle...some places $4.50/30 minutes and you are only allowed 2 hours on that STREET, so you can't just move your car up a few places and re-pay to park more.
Most just get a ticket and leave their car there all day...but now they just started booting cars who have more than 3 unpaid tickets. If you don't pay off tickets and pay the fee to get the boot unlock code, within 24 hours, your car is impounded. THEN you have to pay storage and impound fees on top of everything else.
I seem to always be able to find street parking fairly easily.
During Seahawks/Mariners games...garages (close to the stadiums) charge between $40-60 for parking. We just pay $20 and walk 10-15 blocks. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

40-60 to park? That's the highest I have ever heard for a single event.
I'll text you a pic teh next time I go to a game! The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Parking for a Mariner's game...this is a lot 1 block from the stadium.

and it's only the beginning of the season...come summertime, the price will go up.
We parked 6 blocks from the stadium, and paid $0.97 on the street. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
